Quite interesting. I liked the part that read: "...he initially became famous for his precociousness, and later for his eccentricity and withdrawal from the public eye."
So later on he became nuts? Sounds to me if he were an atheist by age 6 he was already nuts.
I have heard also of other brilliant people spending time to study and prove that God does not exist, only to discover the exact opposite is true.

Some people chronically erroneously conflate intelligence and a true heart. Sometimes, highly intelligent individuals have enormous amounts of pride, which keeps them away from God. They believe that they are too smart for God. God's enemy enjoys this and preys upon it. The fact is that intelligence and faith are compatible, entirely. It depends on what the person with intelligence is looking for. If looking for self-glory, he or she will find it. If looking to glorify the creator of the world--which the faithless intelligent person does not normally understand that he or she cannot create, no matter how smart--then the person humbles him- or herself before God.
In other words, your factoid here just means that sometimes people have contempt prior to investigation, because they believe more in the powers of their own mind (which is a gift from God) than they believe in the creator of all life.

Sorry, Jesus Christ was the most "intelligent" man ever born to a woman. He had the full understanding and knowledge of the material and spiritual world. He was the creator, along with the Father and Holy Spirit and therefore had wisdom and knowledge far above any human before or since.
