don't you find it odd that Steve was killed by a stingray stabbing him in the HEART
i see it as some kind of "gentle goodbye" from this world because Steve wasn't expecting stingray to be dangerous so maybe it happened quickly and peacefully because he wasn't afraid of them. i love Steve so much and while I definitely don't understand why his life was taken away so early I do think that the way he died carries some kind of deeper message
maybe that we need to appreciate all that Steve has done for us and become more like him. Having just one intense fighter for the nature's wellbeing isn't enough.
what do you think
thanks
ps) please do not write that Steve's work involved danger. you can die any time doing no matter what. and most importantly, do not write Steve disrespected the nature because that was his true love apart from his family.

thanks for all comments but don't go comparing Steve to the pervert of Michael Jackson. only his money is keeping him outside the bars.

He can be compared to Michael Jackson cause Irwin's life work was to save animals and Michael's life work was to save children! Michael Jackson is not a pervert and the only thing keeping him out of jail is Innocence and the truth!! Both men should be highly respected for their generosity and kindness!! Besides you can't tell people how to answer!!

he was an amazing person , he did take chances sometimes ..I still dont agree with him feeding the croc with his baby in his arm , he just got a bit too enthusiastic with the crowds around on that occasion, (much like Micheal Jackson did when he dangled his baby from the balcony for the crowds)
However overall I think Steve Irwin was a good bloke ~ You cannot deny his love for animals or the work he has done for the enviroment and the creatures in them....I believe he truly DID love animals ,his enthusiam was contagious and he will be sorely missed.
Who knows what happened on that day except the people that was diving with hm. All I can say is I've been to Australia , and I almost stepped on a sting ray , walking about in shallow clear waters near a coral cay ...it was a baby sting ray and I only caught a glimpse of it from the corner of my eye , underneath the sand (it had buried itself fairly well in the sand) ...so who knows what happened with steve this time ..I loved the guy , but he always gave me the jitters when he was messing about with the poisonous snakes /spiders etc(..I kept having to look away from the TV screen ) He will be missed alot, his enthusiam for life was a wonderful thing to see , I feel so sorry for his wife and kids , who will be lost without him.
How can you forget such a likeable bloke as Steve ....
Rest In Peace Mate

You ask, then say don't answer this way or that?
Please forgive me. My thoughts may seem like sick jokes, but are not intended that way.
OK, here goes.
I find it odd, I always expected him to get his face bit off by a croc, one day.
You find getting stabbed in the heart by a stingray "a gentle goodbye"? At least it happened quickly, but peacefully? "I don't understand why his life was taken away so early." I don't understand why you think the way he died carries some deeper message.
We can draw lessons from an unexpected death. Be careful, don't put off, enjoying life, expressing, love or doing good.

It is so sad, and my husband and I have spoken on many occasions about what happened, since his death. It does seem strange tho, that he died loved doing what he did, and yet compared to the dangerous animals he was involved with, he was killed by a seemingly gentle creature.
There is a time for each of us to be born and a time to die - I don't understand the reasons why people die young when they have so much to offer, but I do know how important it is for people to prepare for eternity. We prepare for this life, our marriage, retirement etc, and yet the most important of all, people go on hearsay and don't seek or search for God to find out for themselves the meaning of life.

His documentary producer and longtime friend John Stainton was with him when he died.
"The world has lost a great wildlife icon, a passionate conservationist and one of the proudest dads on the planet," Stainton told the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
"He left this world in a peaceful and happy state of mind. He would have said, 'Crocs rule.'"
Irwin and a cameraman were snorkelling in shallow water when the intrepid animal-lover swam over the stingray, which then stuck out the barb, Stainton said, adding he believed his friend died instantly.
Irwin was famous for his enthusiasm for wildlife and his catchword "Crikey!" in his television program Crocodile Hunter. First broadcast in Australia in 1992, the program was picked up by the Discovery network, catapulting Irwin to international fame.
Carmel Robertson, with the Australian Broadcasting Corp., told CBC News that Australians are in shock.
"People can't believe that the man they thought was quite invincible is dead," she said.

"Gently Goodbye"??!?!?! A Freakin STINGRAY violently stabbed THROUGH his ribs and pierced his heart.
There is no deeper message there. Lessons learned? Don't F*CK with mother nature.
Agree or not. He had a career that he knew he could suffer deadly consiquiences from. That was his choice. And no, he didn't disrespect nature, but obviously didn't respect its wrath.

It was just a terrible accident. Steve Irwin loved nature and you can take comfort in that he died doing what he loved and he loved life.

What exactly are we allowed to say? Don't post a question and then instruct us on what we should or shouldn't say in our response. I believe that Irwin was an accident waiting to happen and it did. Case closed. Anyone who gets some deep meaning from any of this obviously has a few screws loose and needs to get a life.

I had in user-friendly terms watched Steve Irwin shows some cases, and that grew to become into because of the fact no longer something grew to become into on, and his power point looked so super and encouraging. on an identical time as alive, he grew to become into basically "there" to me, and did no longer relatively influence me one way or the different. yet as quickly as he kicked the bucket, I spent the 1st few days getting to know his works, and his web pages, and each thing that he stood for. For me, his passing grew to become into like the passing of Princess Diana. on an identical time as alive, I observed the dramas of her existence, yet did no longer care one way or the different, yet as quickly as she kicked the bucket, existence appeared to have deeper meaning to me. comparable with Steve's dying. After getting to know all that he has accomplished, and counsel approximately his existence history, it relatively started out to hit me no longer user-friendly, that we lost an spectacular individual. His dying made me understand that there is plenty all human beings can do for nature, and for our worldwide. on condition that his passing, I actual have all started to dig deeper into the motives he stood for, and plan on doing what i will, as one voice, and one citizen to stand up for what he believed in. Condolences in user-friendly terms bypass so far, so this is time that we positioned our movements the place our heart is, and take a stand-- coach ourselves, coach others, get entangled and help to guard the organic worldwide till now it too is long previous.... Steve Irwin particularly grew to become into an proposal to numerous, and in his dying, he has touched my existence.
