any time.. but make it neutral ground (not your home or his... or car or anything either 'claim') and leave puppy in it's cage to keep it safe.. then let them sniff each other and get to know each other in safety. Then if you see big dog wagging tail and accepting puppy and vice versa.. then reintroduce without cage. but stay around just in case. if all is good, they should be fine.

As long as he has all his shots the sooner the better. All dogs should be well socialized even at younger ages then your Lab. The only thing you usually worry about is when they do not have their vaccinations.

Five months is ideal! Not to big, not to small and still young enough to submit and play. Socializing your dogs with other dogs is a great thing! We would do that with our dogs whenever possible.

You can bring the dog around other animals once he has all of his shots, until then avoid dog parks and places where a lot of dogs go, a quiet small park shouldn't be harmful.

It's never too soon...but you should make sure he's current on his shots before doing so. He could get really sick if he's around other dogs without having his shots. Socialization is vital to the proper development of dogs.

3 months ago! get that dog in front of other dogs now, or if you wait too long, it will react with fear and that will be ugly. labs bite more people each year than pit bulls!

You can bring him around other dogs anytime as long as he is up to date on his vaccinations. The earlier he is socialized to other dogs, the better!
