When Copernicus came and said we werent the center ot the Universe, but a part of a tiny galaxy rotating around the sun, the church protested. but now they accept it.
When Darwin said we ain't special, we are just apes, the church went nuts! Now they simply avoid the debate for obvious reasons.
When are we going to create a society that doesn't need religion, but brotherly love and freedom? Freedom to lead a sinful life as long as you don't hurt anyone else, freedom to love who you want, freedom to express yourself?
All you need is love, and you can love the things that are here and visible like humans and nature.

Sin is defined by the church and religions. So sin in itself is not bad, its an interpretation. Some sins like gluttony and lust hurt no one but yourself (if at all). And we should be free to do what we want!
I just think religion and church have their little tentacles on everything, it was created used to fill a void of lawlessness, but now it has outlasted its purpose. Let's create a NEW WORLD ORDER!

Dudes, I don't know where you got that I was angry at you, your lord or your brethen. Anger is definitely not the emotion I feel. It's more like curiosity, I feel like I need to pick your brains.
Why is it hard to believe that your cat Snowflakes and you will die and be eaten by worms? It seems really selfish to me that you get to go to an afterlife and Snowflakes gets LEFT BEHIND.
What kind of elitist club is that one anyway?

Ask John Lennon, or Martin Luther King, Jr. Or even Malcom X.
Oh, wait, you can't. They were all murdered.

You Say:
{“When Copernicus came and said we werent the center ot the Universe, but a part of a tiny galaxy rotating around the sun, the church protested. but now they accept it.”}
I AGREE.
You Say”
{“When Darwin said we ain't special, we are just apes, the church went nuts! Now they simply avoid the debate for obvious reasons.”}
I STAY NUTRAL, Since I don’t believe he did look at the concept of human being from all aspects.
You say:
{“When are we going to create a society that doesn't need religion, but brotherly love and freedom? Freedom to lead a sinful life as long as you don't hurt anyone else, freedom to love who you want, freedom to express yourself?”}
EVERYTHING THAT YOU STATED SUCH AS BROTHERLY LOVE AND FREEDOM, DON'T HURT ANYONE ELSE, FREEDOM TO LOVE WHO YOU WANT, AND FREEDOM TO EXPRESS YOURSELF ARE PERMOTED BY ALL RELIGIOUS AND VARIOUS FAITHS.
WHAT ANY OF THE RELIGIOUS AND/OR FAITH DON”T PERMOTE IS SIN (a term that may have different meaning for different person).
THEN, WHAT ARE YOU DISAGREEING ABOUT?
WHY ARE YOU AGAINST BELIEVING IN CREATOR?
You say:
{“All you need is love, and you can love the things that are here and visible like humans and nature.”}
I AGREE AND THIS IS THE FOUNDATION OF ALL RELIGIOUS AND FAITHS.
I BELIEVE YOU ARE CONFUSED BECAUSE YOU ONLY BLIEVE WHAT YOU HEAR ON TV AND NEWS.
SEARCH FOR CREATOR WITHIN YOU AND GRAB A COUPLE OF SPIRITUAL AND RELIGIOUS BOOK. READ THEM WITH OPEN MIND AND YOU WILL FIND THAT ALL ARE THE SAME. ALL TALK ABOUT THE LOVE OF CREATOR, CHARITY, KINDNESS, FORGIVENESS, LOVING WITHOUT ANY EXPECTATION OF RETURN…
HOPE YOU FIND YOUR PATH AND BUILD YOUR RELATION WITH THE CREATOR, AND EXPEWRIENCE THE JOY OF SUCH RELATION, AND THEM, ITS IMPACT ON YOUR DAY-TO_DAY LIFE!

I don't understand. Are you suggesting that those of us who do believe in a higher power should have their freedom to do so taken away? That's sure what it sounds like.
I'm sorry if you don't believe, but that is your decision. My decision is to believe. I'm not going to insult you and tell you that you are a stupid person for making that choice. I don't understand why you think it's ok to do that to us? How about respect for other people?
I believe in science. I also have religious faith. The fact is that there is more to us than just our physical being. I do know-and I know this to be a fact, not a theory (although plenty of people don't believe me, but that's OK too) that who we are continues to exist after our bodies die. I also imagine that eventually science will figure that out. That won't make it less spiritual, but it will make it more understood.
Seems to me that the atheists get terribly upset at the idea of some people having religious faith, and I don't quite understand why. I can only imagine that somehow it makes them feel threatened? I mean, in the US we certainly have religious freedom, as well as the freedom to not practice any religion. So why do the atheists care that the rest of us have faith? How does that hurt you?
Oh, and by the way, in response to your "obvious" comment-remember, evolution is a THEORY. It is not proven to be fact, so if you really want to be accurate, you would have to say you reject the theory of evolution until that is proven, as well.

Okay, so if we were to create this society without Our Creator, just for brotherly love, and freedom....
First off, how the heck will anyone truly love one another, if they are too focused on themselves... because living a sinful life means pleasing yourself... Its selfish, and its not possible to truly love another person while being selfish.
Second, what happens when there is too much freedom? Wars will start, starvation will be widely known. No one will be striving for the good things in life, and this world would burn. Everything would fall apart
And lastly... what heppens when we die... if we only live for the here and now, does that mean you plan on your soul dying along with your body... sounds pretty pointless to me.... Pathetic, to think we have to live this life here on earth, for nothing?
I personally love living a good life, striving each day to pray more/harder, to keep my soul as perfect for God as possible... And loving my neighbor. Loving them because, everyone was made in the image and likeness of God... We respect other peoples prized possessions do we not?.... Why can't we respect God's then, all of His children, and His Commandments?
I do not judge anyone, I just feel bad for people who sound so lost in the anger they harbor towards Our Lord who loves them no matter what. Do you know what it feels like to love someone who wanted nothing to do with you?, imagine multiplying that by thousands of people....
People believe the wind exhists, even though they can't see it... but they can feel it... Well if everyone would take a few minutes to feel the grace of God, then they'd believe, even though they couldn't see it, they'd feel it.
If you didn't want to people to find you angry resentful, then reword your bold question.... It sounds like a major mockery... "Anyone else think that religion is sooooooo last season?" come on now. think b4 you type! Open mouth insert foot

How about freedom to lead a NON-religious life without people like xxxxgatexxxx trying to force his beliefs down our throats?
...I think this is a very well thought out and sincere question. Everyone should have something to believe in whether it's a higher power, the Earth, or the Universe as a whole. Good for you for probing the human psyche and asking Yahoo readers to question their beliefs and teach themselves to re-establish the foundation of their beliefs.
GOOD QUESTION

Why is it hard to believe that your cat Snowflakes and you will die and be eaten by worms?
There are good reasons to doubt your statement. Follow some of these thoughts.
Darwin gave intellectuals a basis to believe in natural, biological creation. Google evolution fact or fiction. The fossil record is a fact. However, no one can prove how "new" genetic code was created. This "how did it happen" part of evolution is purely a hypothesis, even today.
Now why is this a problem? Check your history. In the mid 1800's, Darwin's hypothesis of purely biological creation led to godless political philosophies that have been and are the most oppressive that have ever existed. The Nazi’s were given a scientific justification for ethnic cleansing (Jews), and many nations use this justification today. The godless Marxists eliminate (kill) capitalists and (kill) believers and (kill) anyone else who gets in their way to create a dreary and oppressive society. Open your eyes, would you like to live in Cuba or North Korea, or during Stalin's programs and Mao's revolution. 10's of millions of people suffered and died.
Yes, fanatical religionism does exist, and they are as bad as the godless groups. However, the message of God is to love God with all your heart, and love others as you love yourself. That is a good message.
Here is why this is so important. Philosophically, since God is a creator, he created each of us for a reason. Thus, each of us are unique, and have a god given purpose for life that we need to achieve whether janitor, lawyer, doctor, actor, quarterback, whatever. This totally aligns with the sanctity of human life. Thus, government should protect each of our individual rights and allow each of us to find our destiny. This aligns with a society that believes in a creator and freedom of religion. That is a good thing.
Personally, for very good reasons, I deeply fear Godless societies and societies where religion has political power. Government should respect the free expression of religion of people and communities. Belief in a creator is vital to the health of a society.
Here is my test for you: when you have a child, just look in their eyes and tell them they are a random quirk of nature and in the grand scheme of nature, their life is meaningless. I dare you. Yet, that is the intellectual dead-end of existence, if we are just random quirks of nature. I would do it, if science could show that genetic code can be naturally created, not adaption of existing code.
By the way, how did the brain get programmed for eyesight. To accept 2 images, combine them, to provide near instant assessment and response, millions of lines of unbelievably brilliant genetic code, how did that happen. We could put 1000 genius's to work on this today for 10 years, and they would not be able to figure out how to do that today. Not only is there no randomness, there is unimaginably brilliant creation involved.
You can believe what you will, but the evidence is not in your favor, in my most learned and humbly reasoned opinion.

Your fashion seasons must be pretty long. Like, millennia.
A problem with your argument is "Freedom to lead a sinful life as long as you don't hurt anyone else." Sin hurts people, even if the only one hurt by it is you. Sin is opposite to brotherly love, because sin is born of hatred. Freedom is only possible through our Savior, because freedom is freedom from sin, not slavery to it. If you knew anything of love, you wouldn't be a proponent of sinfulness.
