i've heard and seen ppl speak in tongues, i know it's real.. just was wondering if anyone has recorded them or studied them.. etc.

it's no different than studying creatures in deep sea expeditions, mercedesguy06. that doesn't necessarily help someone else either.

Nothing would happen. Speaking in (strange) tongues is just prattling, a hysterical manifestation mistaken by some for the Holy Spirit's Gift of Tongues.
The true Gift of Tongues is the ability to understand and sometimes speak languages you have never studied, much less mastered. Padre Pio had this gift. He could administer the Rite of Reconciliation (Confession) in any language.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Don't u people have anything better to do than waste time in these rituals? why don't you go and help someone instead of doing this?

It has been done. It proves nothing as the "language" spoken is only understandable by God.
