Dear 13 year old fellow in school,
You don't know me, but I happen to know there is a girl who likes you, but she is really worried about something you are doing and she is asking other people to help her find a way to help you. She doesn't know what to do.
Everyone has seen the pictures of what can happen if you smoke over a long period of time, and it can be very frightening, but for some reason this has not scared you away from smoking.
I didn't know what addiction was when I started smoking. Of course I had heard about it, but I didn't see how I could ever be so powerless to say no to a cigarette. The chemicals make you want them more and more, and it gets harder and harder to resist the pull. Before long you get to a point where they completely control your mind. It's like brainwashing or something because you have this command in your head that says "Smoke! Now! Gotta have a cigarette! Hurry!" and you feel like you feel when you are underwater and you need a breath of air and you can't reach the surface. You panic and struggle to swim up with all your strength just to get a breath or air, but the air you need is a puff of addictive chemicals from a cigarette. You get nervous and start snapping at people for no reason, just because you are out of your mind for a smoke. And they won't understand it's the addiction talking. They will just think you are a butt head! You'll spend all your money on it, even if you need the money for something else real bad, and a lot of nice girls won't want to have anything to do with you. They say kissing a smoker is like licking an ashtray. Go without a cigarette for a few days and then kiss someone who just smoked one. You will see what I mean. It's nasty!
But you don't understand how powerful this is and how quickly it can take control of you. If you quit now it's your only chance. It will be too hard if you wait any longer. Don't let this destroy your life because it would be so easy to quit right now before you get hooked too bad.
You can take my word for it. I just finished 6 months of chemo therapy and the doctors tell me it's not working. All my hair is falling out and there is nothing much left in life for me except to warn you before it is too late.
I hope you take this advice (and she hopes so too) because life is too precious to waste on a stupid mistake.

take away his stick of cigarette and give him lollipops both serve the same way...suck!
