I hate that. One lady a few days ago tried to force her religion on me, & I don't even believe in God. I believe in Yahweh. She tried to FORCE me to pray with her-praying to GOD, & that made me mad. Later on in the week, she got drunk & high. I was very upset. What was her purpose of being so religious & then turning around, & drinking & getting high?

All religious preachers just pump their one theory (God exists) down our throats.

When the science community makes a discovery or modifies a theory they publish a paper for all to view, speculate on, and debate. Invariably such discoveries open up our simplistic minds and expand our horizons. Examples would be the works of Einstein and Hawking, to name a very small sample.

So why do preachers have to continually pump their one theory (God exists) down our throats. Why do they stand on street corners and hand out leaflets, yell at passers by, gather huge crowds and push unsuspecting victims over in the belief they will be cured of whatever mental or physical ailment invades them, if they just believe in the theory of God.

Why can’t the believers of religious theory just behave in a decent manner, in much the same way as the scientific community does. The answer to all of these questions is simple. They know their theory of God is wrong, and saturation mental and verbal bombardment is the only way they can convince people, and they do it directly or indirectly for money.

Maybe that's when she sees her God?

I try to stay away from people that try to force their religion on me. Sometimes though, one has to get pretty nasty with them before they will leave you alone. But the next time she "offers" or tries to force you to pray to her God... ask her if she'd like a shot of whiskey before she gets started? Or maybe a joint? The smoke just might help carry her prayer up to her God. I'd bet she would back off then.

I agree with you that she is just another sunday morning Christian who is confused and in denial of her own religion after a few drinks.
However first there was Gods, not God. female Gods, and male Gods, The God had children, male and females, images were bult after their likeness form beautiful roman/greek stone images to ulgy distorted features like the stone Gods on Easter Island.
Than the Jews decided there were too many Gods. so they decide their new one God to prove his worth, power, and wisdom would be all powerful (at first over all other Gods. Remember the bible quote thou shall not have other Gods over me?), he would be invisable (thi seliminated the need ot prove his existance), so powerful human eyes could not gaze upon him. He wa sos powerful his name could not be spoken so the old jews called him
"Yahweh". Yep the one God is known as "yehweh" because his real name cannot be be spoken by mere mortals like you and I.
but later as this Jewish God wa sadopted by the Roman Emporor when he created Christainity the name Jehova became his new name.(yahweh is still mainly in use by Jews and a few holy rollers hopeing to get the sunday morning bunch going.
Some of these people attempting toget you save dreally do care, and their only interest is your moral safety in the hereafter, and not too.
I get many emails from people who only honestly care and I don't mind. They practice what they preach.religion,
I think the key words is (when you speak of God, his beganing, history ect ) He/him/ as God always now male after thousand sof year sof being mixed male/female in every culture. if that doesn't tell someone it's a male orinated society than thousands of years agoand now nothing will. it ranks of old men medling into the lives of an uneducated usually deserted tribal peoples for their own profits, and designs. It is still with us today.

that sounds about right. The thing I hate worse than that is when someone dose not understand my personal beliefs and tries to tell me what I believe( or why they don't believe what they say I believe). I am glad you have someone/something(not sure of the right term here) to have faith in, and as a christian, I personally am glad that you found a reason to believe and have faith. some will feel threatened by you doing differently then they do, they are insecure sheep-le. I do not know your god but I am glad that you have one to fill your needs. dose that make sence? but I am no cookie cutter christian. I see beyond the pettiness and hatred, and trry to help and confort when i can.

I really dont like answers like..Religion is all about trying to get people to follow dead people....that doesnt even make sense...

secondly...Yahweh is another name for the God of Abraham...the God of Jews Christians and if im not mistaken Islamics (although they call him Allah)

So when u pray to Yahweh ur praying to God. Just ignore that lady..She sounds 2-faced

Blessings to you. May I say that your unfortunate experience with this women is not indicative of the faith and level of commitment that is required by those who are in Christ Jesus. Now I do not know the particular faith of this women, so I will cover my end of the faith spectrum. The word of the Lord says that if you love me (Jesus) you will follow after my commandments, which are the same commandments given by Yahweh, which is the Hebrew word for God, or Jehovah, which is the Latin interpretation of the same word. The fact that she acted in such a fashion after her very unbiblical approach to ministry, displays to me that not only does she not know who God really is, but she is the one that needs prayer. Jesus never forced himself upon anyone, nor should believers in him, nor should we act in such an unrighteous fashion as to conform our lives around that which our faith speaks against. Those that seek after their own glory will receive that glory here on earth but not receive it form Yahweh which is in heaven, for they have their reward already as the bible says. I pray that the Lord our God bless you and keep you on your way to find truth and peace in your quest for everlasting life.

Thats pretty pathetic, I live what I tell people. I've given up drinking, never done any drugs, and going back to school at age 31. I love God very much, and I am leading a pretty good Life,

Some people need to practice what they preach. Not everyone is perfect all the time. Maybe she was actually messed up when you spoke with her the first time. I do believe in God and I am not saying I am a saint or anything, but I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

i'd say she's either a hypocrite or she's honestly trying to overcome a bad addiction & just had a bad day. as for forcing me to believe in others' religions, that's the quickest way to get me to lose interest & end up telling u to get lost. i used to have the same sort of ppl knocking at my door & refusing to take no for an answer. finally, i got smart & told them that i worshipped the devil; they couldn't run fast enough & i haven't seen them since.

They are all hypocrites. Get used to it. I had a family last week ask me if I wanted to pray with them inside a #$% restaurant. I said "No thank you politely" and then they got really pushy....syaing "Well why not" and "it will do your soul good" and "there is nothing to be ashamed of in Jesus"....

So I sat down at their table and asked if I could lead the prayer. Then I started off by saying "Dear Lucifer our Dark Lord in Hell"....

Needless to say - they left me alone after that.....
