Generally its a closed community, one that shuns the excesses of the modern world. That would include the "English," the traditional word for "non-Amish." However, it depends on whether the individual community is "Old Order" or another less strict order.
As teens, the Amish are allowed to experience the world outside the community, in the hopes that they, too, will want to avoid the excesses of the world. The community elders do this in the hopes that the young will make the decision to permanently join the church and the community.

I don't know. But I wouldn't mind banging an Amish babe. They are usually good-looking, clean, and also good cooks. The Amish and Quakers aren't warlike, in contrast to other Christians.

i think basically the Amish are born into the community. However there are Mennonite communities that resemble that Amish that take converts.

i think theyre born into it. Its not a sin to use cars. Many young ppl leave cuz they get too bored of that...its so limiting..
