Yes.

I am not speaking from a religious point of view though. I consider myself spiritual. I know really great religious people who don't try to 'shove it down your throat' too. We are all individuals and beliefs are like opinions and other unmentionables, we all have 'em! I love to share my beliefs and hear about everyone else's too! That's what I love most about Yahoo! Answers.

I believe there is a certain universal "etiquette" like, treat others the way you would want to be treated, i.e. Do Not Judge or label someone, especially whose 'shoes you have not walked'. Love Others ((don't have to like them)) Counsel; support/help others whether it's a pat on the back, shoulder to lean on, or an actual plan of action.

Life is all about loving, learning, survival & perception.

If you're talking about Christians specifically, we are instructed to share the Gospel with others. However, some people forget that we are only supposed to share what we believe and not try to convert people. God is the one who converts people, not us. Also, you're always going to have problems when dealing with religions that clash. Muslims and Christians CAN get along, but WILL they all get along? No. Too much difference of opinion and not enough allowance for other points of view.

The answer to that is no! In the human mind we think the more people who believe in something than the more it must be true. So if you can get the whole of the UK believing in one god than he's obviously real cause everyone says so? Primitive thinking yet all our minds can achieve.

We are called to share the Gospel with anyone who has an ear to hear, reveal the truth of Scripture and refute error. We are also called to serve God by serving others. No one can "make" someone believe something. Either you do or you don't. We share the truth, whether you believe it or not is up to you.

Not if you believe in original sin! If you are a christian and you believe in original sin, then you MUST ALSO BELIEVE that people who bring their children up Muslim or Hindu or athiestic are condemning their children to eternal torture at the hands of satan. A true believer would never allow an innocent child to suffer the fires of hell and would be compelled to try to force their beliefs on others.

That's why belief in Original Sin is so messed up. By it's nature it devalues the beliefs of others and paints all non-christian people who follow their parents traditions as damnned. It's like a built-in form of intolerance and bigotry.

Ofcourse they can.
Why not?

Noone should MAKE anyone believe anything.
But don't forget that by doing good, you are promoting your religion or beliefs. So other people may start sharing those beliefs too, as a result of your actions.

Yes. Why can't extremists from any religion stop mixing religion with politics? There is nothing wrong with any religion, Bahaism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, etc but why legislate it on others or use it to create intolerance, imperialistic foreign policies, legislation against human rights?

On a daily basis, I get tired of the Jehovah's Witness who want to convert everyone. I do not have an official religion, thanks. I study on my own out of personal interest. I am a believer but am also a heathen of sorts.

We can't MAKE anyone believe anything. But God wants us to tell people. Otherwise we wouldn't waste our time.
