If you read the Scriptures you will find that Satan is the ruler of this world temporarily - (2 CORINTHIANS 4:4)

Jesus himself showed that Satan is ruler
(JOHN 12:21 & JOHN 14:30)

Also man is imperfect (since Adams disobedience) & wasn't created to rule himself. (ECCLESIASTES 8:9)

Until God steps in soon to undo everything that was caused by Adam & Eve's disobedience (under Satan's guidance) the world will be filled with evil.

Because people exist today.

Evil exists in our minds. It is a product of our unique homo sapien psyche. If you feel that this is because of a god, that's up to you. Personally I blame evil on our capacity for abstract thought, but then again you could also claim that as a gift from a god. I don't.

Unless we bring in the 1984 thought police, there's no stopping evil. We can raise kids the best we know how, send them to the best schools, give them the best clothes, the nicest things, all of our love, wisdom and support... and some will STILL turn out "evil", so to speak.

All we can do is continue to take it down wherever it may arise.

honestly? evil wasnt really an issue 10-20 years ago, all of a sudden 9/11 hits and every religion out there wants to change something about the u.s. it exists today because we as americans have let other religions/races in our country...now I'm not saying that they aren't welcome here, because we welcome everybody, but if you come over here illegally, dont expect that you have a voice here...its very irritating that we are changing everything because of what other countries/people think. like I said, this wasn't a problem 10-20 years ago, why all of a sudden now?

The Bible says that it will keep getting worse in the last days.

The wrath of God is beginning to be more obvious now as we are close to the end. For instance, who would euthanize a whole nursing home wholesale? But it happened with Katrina.

Because their is a devil. There will be both good and evil on this earth till the end of time. After that the good and evil will be seperated. Till then we do our best to fight off the evil and do what is right in this life so we can be witht he good in the hear after.

As in the definition of evil;

Evil refers to the bad aspects of the behaviour and reasoning of Human Beings-----those which are deliberately void of concience and show a wanton desire for destruction.

It always has and always will. However, it seems worse now because the world population has reached over 6.5 billion people and we have instantaneous information from every part of the world - so we hear about every significant evil event that occurs.
