I need to know what permits do I need, where to get a work permit, all that stuff... I just need to live somewhere else, try something new, and Spain sounds like a nice place to live... so Anyone know anything? I am a permanent resident in the states and as soon as my greencard expires I am flying to spain.

If you are legal in the USA, go to the Mexican Embassy and get the necessary documents. Oh, you can also do this via the internet. But if you are not legal in the USA, you should go back to Mexico and obtain the documentation there. But at some point, you need to contact the Spain Embassy in the USA or Mexico. They are the only ones who can grant you the visa.
