You would be divorced and single but who cares as long as your not married and trying to meet or date other people.
When people ask you depending who they are, you would be truthful in saying your single.
Now if divorce is something important to them like religiously or if they wouldn't want to date a person married before, you can be honest and say divorce but if it isn't necessary to know or has any barring on a potential relationship, you wouldn't be lying if you said single.
It isn't truly anybody else business unless you have to legally disclose the information.
Again, if your not no longer married you are single.

I say I'm single. Because I know I am. I don't have anyone helping me in my life with money, upkeep on the house, emotionally, or physically. So...I'm single. I don't have a boyfriend or a husband,therefore in so many words I'm alone which means one. A table for one please. It doesn't really matter if I was a table for two... reality is that is gone. By choice. However, if someone asks me if I've ever been married. I say yes, I'm divorced. I also, dont have any children... so my x isn't an issue.!!! He lives in a different state and we haven't talked since I got divorced.

You are both. You are single, but because you are divorced.
Tell people whatever you are most comfortable with.
If you have just met them and don't want to go into the whole "I'm divorced.............routine" then simply state that you are single. Later on, should you become friendly, then conversation will naturally flow towards the "I'm divorced........".

Most people put that they are divorced in the ads, it is married but now single. D usually stands for Divorce, W for willowed.

If you are divorced, you are single. Period. If people ask you just say you are single. If they press the issue then say divorced.

If a person is divorced, they should say so. I'd hate to meet someone who says they are single, when they have been married before. I personally would prefer to date someone who is single (never married), so to be clear upfront on one's marital status, they should be specific.

I am divorced and if anyone asks my marital status I always say single or happily divorced!

well i think it would be better to say divorced on your add...coz well if you say your single and later on when you're chatting to a person it will come across as you lying, and no one wants to date a liar
