by ferry it takes 2 hours. But I hate flying, every time I fly over I end up crying. We have a vacation coming up where I have to take a 6 hour flight and I think my husband is afraid I won't get on the plane.

Yes, but you can have a nice dinner (or lunch) on the ferry and you don't get that on the plane. Besides, what's the point in going to a concert all stressed out?
Talk to your doctor before the vacation flight and get a prescription for something to calm you down, and you can assure your husband that you'll be fine for that flight.

By the time you drive to SEA, find parking, screw with security, wait for your flight, take a mechanical delay, fly to YVR, hassle with the van to the car rental place, stand in line and finally drive to the concert, you'll have 3 or 4 hours invested, minimum.

Take the ferry. Pack a nice picnic to eat on the way up there. Stop at Pike Place on the way to the dock and pick up some nice bread, cheese, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, and a good bottle of wine. You'll have a lot better time, you'll have your own wheels and you'll save money.

In this instance, do what the previous poster suggests because your life will be much easier and you can enjoy the concert with your husband without being stressed out from the flight.

Air phobias are curable - you would need to find out why airplanes make you cry. Maybe you're having flashbacks to 9/11 5 years after the fact. 9/12's events in Syria aren't helping you. Maybe consult a professional regarding your air phobia after you return from the concert.
