Yes they can work .. if the two people are willing to put the work into it. It takes time, commitment, trust and honesty. Needless to say I married my long distance relationship after 2 years of dating and additional 1 year of deployment. It does work!!!!!!!!!!!
Things to help you get through a long distance relationship is talking on email, instant message, get web cams .. speak on the phone - open up a blog to talk to one another back and fourth. Send cards, photos etc.

Some can work but I was just in one for 4 months and as soon as we met, the chemistry wasn't there..she wasn't the same girl I had been talking on the phone 3 hours a day and I'm sure she felt the same of me as a guy. I really thought I'd met my soulmate and future 2nd wife but in a matter of days after we met, we ended up "just friends" and that was very disappointing for me and now I'll think twice about another long distance relationship! Be realistic in your expectations so someone, especially you, doesn't get hurt like I did!

I think it depends on how far. If its just like an hour away then fine but if they are like 4 or 5 hours or more that's not gona work. A couple wants to see each other all the time and the minute you dont answer the phone or something like that its gona be a problem.

I've been with my guy for 2 years and he relocated for 4 months it didn't work. He went back home and now we are back together. So in my case the long distance works better for me. I hope it works out for you.

well long distance relationships dont really work cause ur mate is always see someone they like...u can try if he really love then it will work...just make sure u and him/she have a good connection..good luck...

my current b/f was dating someone long d distance untill i came along ..so i would say its gonna work for a lil bit untill you get tired of being lonely and run into someone else

yes they can work out but it depends on how dedicated the couple is to it. my dad was away for many years and he recently came back and now my parents are married.

omg...k well...ive been talking to this guy online forr 6months now....we REALLY like each other but we have to waitt to seeee each other and trust me! IT SUX! i really want to see him...and we are going to try and make this work...we're planning to get married and everything...hez my true love!! it's just wierd that i met him off the internet...if you really love someone truly then yes, it will work out...

they will work if you want them to work,ive been dating my girl for 2 years and she just moved to st louis for college,we see each other twice a month,it will only fail if you allow it to fail
