Sometimes, but I find more people who don't believe who just don't care what we believe. They don't hate us, they just want to be left alone.

A bulk of christendom believe that Jesus is the son of God. This is a misconception. Jesus was of course a beloved prophet of God Almighty. He can be compared with Prophet Adam. Adam was made out of clay and Jesus was created by God Almighty by His words. There is biblical proof that Jesus lived as a human being, He cried, he was hunger, Jesus wept, he do not know the final end of the world, when he was asked by his disciples. Jesus had many limitations like any ordinary human being. Will all these human qualities suits to the Creator of the Universe, Sustainer and Cherisher? Never ever.!!. Does it mean that Jesus Christ, who lived as a mere human being, is controlling the whole Universe? Is it required for God Almighty to take the form of a human being ( Anthropomorphism) OR god incarnate to know what is happening in this world? If the present world is controlled by Holy Spirit, as that is conceived by most of the Christians especially after the ascension of Jesus Christ, one should know that the Holy Spirit was there before the advent of Jesus. Mother Mary got conceived by the Holy Spirit. While Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist, the Holy Spirit descended in the form of a Dove. The word son of God is mentioned 'Tons of times ' in the BIble. Does it mean that Israel is also the son of god? Never believe anything blindly, because it is written in a book or said by someone. Use the rational test of reasoning. Then you will get the answer.

Gee... you people are so cute. Acting all self righteous and abusing all other beliefs except christians. >:D<
Fact: no extra holes in an atheist's body (no big emptyness).
If a person is a jerk it does't make him buddist, atheist, polyteist, monotheist etc. Maybe he's just unhappy or maybe he has a bad month, year. Just as many christians and "non-believers" go to the head doctor. Religion was never been an excuse to be unhappy. It's just the way you see it. And just because you see it, it doesn't make it true (illusion of the mind to make your inner beliefs match the exterior REAL world). The map is not the territory!

Not believing in God does not and should not make people bad. There are many people that do not believe in God or Jesus and are not bad people. In the Jewish faith, they do not believe in Jesus and many Jews are wonderful people. In China where Buddhism is a major religion, they do not believe in the christian God and most are wonderful people. The Native Americans didn't believe, yet they lived here in the Americas for thousands of years in relative peace and harmony before explorers discovered them. There are many faiths that do not believe in God, I named a few but there are a long list of them. I was raised in a Christan household and we believe in God but I know of many wonderful people who don't. Kindness and respect comes from the heart and soul and we need to respect everyone no matter what we or our neighbors believe.

I don't think most non believers are hateful and upset. I find it more of the believers that can be hateful and confused about the holy spirit and what not. Most non believers are upset by the daily problems that go on in their lives. They don't worry about the religion.

They're just angry b/c they feel as though they have good arguments against Xianity and then someone says, or in this case writes, something they find unacceptable. There are responses from Xians that are very hateful. Like the ones who actually will write someone is going to hell. It's very frustrating when you can't get another to see your point of view.
But, like you said, not all non-believers are hateful or angry. We all have our moments, Xian or not.

I am not Christian, and I'm not hatefull. Please do not generalize, you do not have to believe in a higher power to be a good person.

Most of the non-believers that I know, and I know a lot, are perfectly happy and productive citizens.
Are you judging by the ones you meet in Y!A? Because those are mostly trolls trying to get a rise out of you.
Peace

Ignorance breeds hate and hate breeds bigotry. It's unfortunate that questions posed to believers are framed as condescending or an attack. Still, if they did it to Jesus, they will do it to His followers.
The servant is not greater than The Master.
