my friend was in a similar situtuion a couple of weeks ago. the thing was, her parents didnt like the guy, he was "too old", and he had been in trouble with the law, you gotta see where there coming from, sometimes paretns want the best for you, and they end up giveing you the worst thing ever, only to make sure that your safe.
but if hes not been in trouble woth the law, you should show your parents that you are both mature enough, but you two stay friends b/c he can go to jail, and if your paretns know about it, they can loose you for real, sooo just wait, let some years go by, and if you both still feel the same way, then let the relationship start!!

Well, if you're 18 and living on your own - I would say you're an adult now - doesn't matter. But if you are 18 and still living at home and not paying room/board and for your own bills - if they are totally still supporting you?..then if under their roof and living on their dime...then yes, you have to abide by their rules.
I'm not understanding though- I wouldn't have a problem with 25 - if my daughter was 18...doesn't seem THAT bad...but, as I said - all depends if you are truly living on your own (which is what really translates as an adult) or under their roof...sorry hun...seems a shame...that's not really that many years (not to me) Of course it always depends on the guy himself. Maybe they see something they don't like and are just defaulting to the "he's too old" point. If he was married before, has kids, not working, etc...then they might have reason to be hesitant to let you date him. Hope it all works out.

I'd try to work it out with your parents. Maybe just try being friends with the guy first. If not, find someone closer to your age, there are many fish in the sea. Hope this helps :D

Rub the vomit in your hair and fashion your pillow case into a diaper. Write on your bare chest in ancient runes, "100% cholesterol free" and in this manner, confront your parents about their control issues.
