surely this is so, by Christian logic -- for Christians tell us,
that he's all powerful and omnipresent. God the mass murderer?
Do you still pray to him now?

19 pillars of salt appearing at a few airports on 911 would have been a nice gesture from a loving, caring god, but so would have a little blood clot in Hitler's aorta in 1934. Hundreds of millions prayed for God to stop Hitler, but God did nothing and 30 million+ died. Either God is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

Ah, the ubiquitous "Why do bad things happen to good people?" question.

Most Christians (I do not consider myself one, but I was raised on) answer this by saying God gave mankind free will to do not do what he wishes. This basically absolves God of any actions taken by humans.

Was God complicit in Katrina is a more valid question. And according to the crack pot Pat Roberts, God was.

Oh, and according to the Old Testament, he was a mass murderer - expulsion from Eden, the Flood, Egyptian plagues, Sodom and Gamorah - the list goes on. Its only after he had a kid that he mellowed out.

There are several takes you can have on this, to the Muslim Extremists, God was good that day, to the Christians, it may have been God's plan so we went into the middle east, or the fact that god gave man free will so he did not intervene, could be that their is more than one god, and they are in constant battle ...

So, instead of asking why? You should ask what your reaction would be to the disaster, do you start to spread hate and prejudice or do you start to heal by understanding there are other cultures and reaching out to them ... you must remember, this was an act of muslim EXTREMEIST as the crusades could be looked at Christian Extremism ... every culture has had thier dark days ...

Is god complicit in the mass destruction of Iraq? I am sure some f you would say yes because you have been instructed to believe that they have a different god, so it is okay to kill them, right?

I know many people blame God for what happened in 9/11, but anyway it had to happen. This event can't stop us from praying our lord. If we don't pray him, who will we pray? He's the only friend we have.
I love God.

9/11 is the doing of human beings, Americans versus Arabs. Leave the God out of this.

YES, for i would rather die a horrible death and be reunited with the Lord, then live a long prosperous life and never know him. would you rather live your life angry at God(or not believing in him) be rich, and greedy& die and find you were wrong; or would you rather be one in Africa staving and be taken up by the Lord. Either way I rather live my life for the Lord and worship him daily, if I did die and find out I was wrong, I would loose nothing, I lived a good life. However, if you live the opposite, perhaps you were kind and did good but you curse God behind closed doors, and you die and find out you are wrong you have lost everything. I pray this does not happen, but we all have that choice to make in life.

God had no more to do with 9/11 then He did with you posting this dumbass question. Obviously he doesn't control idiots otherwise you wouldn't get a chance to voice your ignorance.
