A lot of people, through out history have claimed to know when Jesus would return.
All of them were also liars, and frauds. Usually trying to make money by selling books.
BUT, some people, especially in this forum, still guess. It isn't biblical to guess, and it provides false hope to those who await.
So to make them happy, what year will Jesus return?

No one knows the hour...except God...The Scriptures state plainly that there would be wolves fleecing the flock. I agree with you. If they give a date...look for the release of a new book or movie. I serve for eternity not a date. But I would also warn those that scorn his appearance to beware ! It is not wise .

It is not made available to man the time of His return. The Scripture says, "Be ye therefore also ready. For in such an hour as YE THINK NOT, the Son of Man cometh"! We have no way of knowing other than through what is known as the signs of the times. Does "wars and rumors of wars" ring a bell? How about "earthquakes, famine and pestilence in diverse places"? All these things are happening on an ever-increasing global scale and are just the tip of the iceberg! You want to know when He's returning? Watch the news and compare the tragedy of it all to the Book of Revelation and the Book of Daniel's predictions.

Only the Father knows when Jesus will return. Many scholars claim it will be when the number of believers reaches the number of fallen angels minus one. The minus one is so Jesus can throw Satan into the lake of fire and we each can throw a fallen angel into it. Sounds reasonable to me, but since we have no count of either it would be impossible to calculate even given that information. Due to modern technology and recent events soon is more likely than ever before, however I'm not holding my breath. Have you heard of the huge embassy they are building in modern Babylon? It is supposed to be large enough to house the UN. I've not confirmed it yet, but it caught my attention. Maybe I'll ask a question on here for any troops that might be able to confirm it.

Well, I'm of of those "people" who truly believe that Jesus will return and save mankind from self destruction i.e. war, moral degradation etc.
To know when exactly Jesus will come back is like knowing which horse will win the next race. Therefore, it is impossible for us to know the exact date unless we have a pact with God. If I were God, why should I choose some loosers to know when Jesus is coming to save humankind? Since God is fair, God will not tell anybody when is the date. Only those who maintain his faith until his last breath and/or until Jesus comes back will be saved and be the resident of Heaven together with all the prophets before and after him.
There is no God except only one GOD of this universe. God does not have son, holy spirit or fellow Gods.

I hope God arrives as soon as possible to sort out the mess the world is in. Getting rid of World leaders like George Bush would be a good start. Oh yeah, if God could sort out the pollution/global warming mess, that would be terrific!

Jesus will be returning to earth November 2008 to vote in the Presidential Election. Naturally, he will be voting Democrat.

I think it is presumptuous to even try to fathom the time when He will make His appearance. He will come when He is darn good and ready. Not a moment before or a moment later. All we as Christians can do is be ready and not get caught with our pants down.

"No one knows the hour or the day." Jesus will return "like a thief in the night" so it is better to have your oil lamps full of oil and be prepared for the Bridegrooms return.
