and for those that say that someone else killed him....
say that there are people right now outside my door that want to kill me for this question, and i know there there and what they plan to do. now i can leave through the back and live, or i can go out the front and die. i go out the front, the get me, i die. thats suicide because i willfully chose to go to those that would kill me.

and for the people saying that going to war knowing you might die is the same as what im talking about, you are wrong. Speaking from personal experience, deployed soldiers are in a place where they could die, and they know that, but there not trying to die, there trying to LIVE. and the murder theroy, if you knew a murderer was goming for you and you stayed, you brought about your own death.

I am sorry, but you have confused the issue. What you have written are the actions of someone who is suicidal and not the mental condition of one who is suicidal. If you knew the mental state of one who is suicidal, then you would know that Jesus was not. The essence of one's mental condition for suicide is despair. Jesus was not in despair. He freely decided to die for our sakes. Those who commit suicide die for no one, not even for themselves. They just kill themselves out of despair.
Jesus knew that the love He gave us would encounter harsh reactions and actions. He knew that the people He loved (all of us) are fearful and in their/our fears we would react to Him with violence. He has had a few moments before the garden where the pharisees or people wanted to either stone him or cast him off a hillside. Yet, He still loved us all.
Since love was His state of mind and not despair, He was not suicidal nor would be His actions. His death was not suicide, but a sacrifice for our happiness and freedom in Him. And so, He did not commit suicide. He did not take His own life. He sacrificed His own life.
However, He did go to Hell to save what souls were there and raise them up in Him. We pray this in our Creed, "He was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell and on the third day rose again. He sits at the right hand of the Father and from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead."
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.

No, Jesus did not go to hell for this MORAL SIN, He went to hell for ALL OF OUR SINS.
He did not commit suicide, He was led captive by the Romans to be crucified, who were the ones that actually put the nails in HIs hands and feet, and pierced Him in the side, they were the ones that beat him before that, and they were the ones that crushed the crown of thorns into His head. He didn't do these things to Himself, He did His Father's will and did not fight back during any of this.
It was never in His own interest to be killed, it was for the benefit of the entire world to show how much love a Father has for His children by sacrificing His 1st son.
I am disappointed by those that have defended Jesus against your point, and have decided that anger needed to be expressed toward you. We already know that Jesus was persecuted when He was on Earth, it's still expected to happen until He returns. Be more like Him in our responses.

I don't agree that it was suicide, if it was then the people who sign up for the militry would also fall into the "suicide" category.
He did descend into hell. Read below
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Believing in Jesus and having a own relationship with Him are 2 thoroughly diverse issues. The devil himself believes in Jesus, yet would not keep on with Him. So basically believing in Jesus does no longer mean you bypass to heaven. i trust that once you've a own relationship with Jesus that you've convictions hostile to suicide and in no way dedicate it. i'm particular Christians have dedicated suicide, yet i trust the Holy Spirit might want to bypass the guy contained in the route of no longer committing it.

Going willingly to your own death is not suicide. In the definition that you posted it says the taking of ones own life or the destruction of your own interests. In no way did he end his own life or interests. He just didn't stop the people from doing it to him.

John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
Jesus did not commit suicide. He gave up his life for YOU so that you could go to heaven and be with God for eternity.
Your anger and pride is keeping you from knowing the Truth.

No he did not got to hell in the Bible this was planned for him do die for our sins. God loves us plus look in Matthew Luke or john. Jesus looked up at the heavens and said it is finished, also if he would have gone to hell he would not have rose in three days! all I can say it is all about faith good question!

By that same argument, the mother who dies pushing her child out of the way of a speeding car is committing suicide.
You are saying that loving mothers go to hell.

No, it was not suicide. He did not take his own life.
He did, however go to Hell. After his crucifiction he descended to hell where he spent the three days of his death preaching to the damned. Then he was resurrected and, eventually ascended to Heaven.
