Dont be offended my friend, as I encourage you to pray to the Father through Jesus Christ His Son. There is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus Christ as the scripture tells us. The Apostles with all that they are to be honored with are merely a reflection of Jesus their Lord. Lets go to the real source of their power, Jesus.

That's the St. my mother prayed to...she died of lung cancer just over 4 yrs ago...my prayers are with you..this is NOT an easy thing to watch happen to a parent ..or any family member or friend..

Try praying to Jesus he said he was going to the Father to be our intecessor. What you will be doing is intecessory prayer.

I would say to pray to God. He is the only one who can really help. But, remember their are things in life we cannot change. If God takes him away, only he nows why. Just have faith, my prayers will be with you and your family. God Bless.
