I just called my vet to ask for you.. He said yes, you can use a cat 's on a dog...but not a dog's on a cat... The reason being that the Frontline for cats takes into account that the cat will lick, so it is safer for licking than a dog's.

Hi
Please do not use the Frontline Plus for cats on your dog - this could harm him as the Cat and Dog Frontline has different ingredients.
Please buy Frontline for dogs otherwise you will find you will have to pay a visit to your local Vets.

I would suggest you get the dog formula, although the cat's may be okay, if you happen to have some left over.
Check with Frontline Plus to be sure it doesn't contain any chemicals that may be poisonous to your dog.

Cats and dogs have different kinds of fleas. Using a cat treatment won' do much good. The most common flea on both dogs and cats is the cat flea, Ctenocephalides felis, but both cats and dogs can also occasionally be affected by other fleas, such as rabbit and bird fleas.
The dog flea, Ctenocephalides canis, has been found in great numbers on dogs, but rarely on cats

As others have pronounced, could've been perfect to learn till now getting a dogs. Asking right here will truthfully get you detrimental press on such difficulty. On good of the reality you acquire a mix from an obvious BYB as an outstanding breeder could by no skill enable any puppy circulate to somebody that knew no longer something of its care. The breeder ought to've given you each little thing you mandatory in a kit, least that's what we do. i could propose you come stated puppy or do your guy or woman learn. you will need an appointment consisting of your vet in any case and that they might answer you the perfect. possibly you should circulate to a Petsmart besides & ask the staff what you will need for stated puppy.

I wouldn't use Frontline Plus at all. I think K9 Advantix is a lot better and it also protects against ticks.

You really should use something suited to dogs, to be on the safe side.
Would you use an item suited for animal use??? No you would get something used for people. This is your pet and member of your family =) Check with a vet, maybe you can.... but make sure before you do.
Best of luck.
