I moved 2 years ago away from everything I loved. I was just ripped out of there like a page in a book. It tore me apart, I can't stand living in this place where I am right now. The people are differnt and weird, they talk like dumb people- ( not that they are dumb but they talk lazy like, they talk they are too lazy to say a whole sentence and leave out words,) Its disgusting and drives me crazy. These people are dirty and ugghhhh!!! I can't live around such unproper Americans. I feel so weird in this state and to add more.... It's 9/11 and I didn't hear of them doing anything for it!! It's like not living in America! We are far away from everything, the people are weird and nasty, dirty and so much other things. My parents say to make friends and it will all be better, but I dont want things to be better, I liked my old life- it was perfect, plus I don't want to be friends with these people. its disgusting and I cant stand it and yet again I want to move but my parents dont rightnow

First of all your parents have to live where they can find work.
If they move just to please you and can't find work, you could end up living in some place worse than this one and not have electricity or enough food to eat.
Be careful what you ask for.................you might get it.
I am glad that you have a good sense of what is proper in peoples behavior. That is good. But, you need to learn to make room for others to be a bit different from yourself. Just imagine this, if you had grown up in the area where you now live, you would be just like those "dirty people" and not know the difference. You only know the difference because your parents taught you. Be thankful you have good parents who taught you to be neat and clean. Since you live with parents I suspect you are still in school and are dependent on them. So, study hard in school and look forward to the day when you can break away and move to wherever you wish. But, you can't do that without a good education.
In the meantime, look for others who are a bit more like yourself and make friends girl or it will be a loooooong year.

Sometimes you just have to accept change. I know it seems like life sucks right now but after time, you will get over it. You just have to find the right people that fit you. I can suggest that if you have a myspace, find people that suit you that live in your area. I don't think you should be so judgmental of the people where you live. They may look nasty to you, but they could be the nicest people you will come across.
Oh and about the 9/11 thing, it's a very very sad thing that happened, but you don't have to be considered not American if you don't mention it. My grandfather was born on 9/11 and I'm going to get crap for saying this, but I find that his birthday is more important.
Anyway, good luck with your situation. I bet that place will grow on you after awhile, just give it some time

Tough one. You've given it plenty of time to adjust. If you still feel as strongly about leaving after 2 years, then you must have some serious difficulties. However, your family isn't just about you. It's about everyone. Your parents lives, your siblings lives (ifyou have any). It may be too selfish to make everyone move on account of your unhappiness. You don't say your age, but hopefully you can look forward to leaving for college. If not, make your parents know, in an adult manner (no whining, carrying on, etc.) that you would do ANYTHING to move. You may have to make some serious compromises. You may have to do things you don't want to do. But if that's the most important thing to you right now, it will be worth it. But then again, you may just have to stick it out until you're old enough to move away on your own.

They'll probably decide to move back if you throw a temper tantrum and scream and shout and lament and complain enough. It's just too bad that people where you are now existing (rather than living) are such turkeys and un-nice, and dirty and ugly. This writer feels very very sorry for you.

Explain to them how unhappy you are and take some initiative. See if there are some family members you can stay with in the mean time so atleast you're where you are happy even if it means being away from your parents for a while.

First of all it looks like your parents will not just pick up and move so the sooner you accept it and get on with your life the better it will be for you.

I really feel for you. Surely there must be one normal person there you can hang with. Whatever you do, don't become like them just to fit in. Remember your individualism. Feel sorry for them. I imagine it comes from idealizing Rap Singers and the like. Good luck.

You probably can't convince them to move. Just work hard at school and hopefully you can go away to college soon.
