Good Day Mate! 5 speed requites a shorter drive shaft relocated cross member the Nissan manual transmission is a tunnel designed it is not to hard to rebuild But I warn you 21 year old truck it will be hard to find parts.

I don't know nissan vehicles well, but it is likely that a 5speed would be longer so the tcase would have to be moved back and new crossmember fitted. ALso you would then have to modify your drive shafts accordingly. It may be cheaper to fix what you have and trade it for a 5speed that you want.

You will have to change the cross-member which involves some welding.
