Well for one thing the Vatican is Christian most of the World is not of that faith (point A), point B is "Does the Vatican care about the issues that plague and effect the World?, point C is that why not in Africa or Europe or Asia WHY the Vatican.....
would we then give peace a chance....most Wars have been started in the name of God....

Because the UN is multinational, multifaith, and multireligious. Putting it in the capital of catholicism will only cause more outcry from the other religions in the UN. Also, I don't think that Kofi Annan would want Pope Benedict XVI walking in on an important meeting.

Yeah thats the ticket. Lets mix Politics with Religion. That will solve all our problems.
I bet the Muslim dominated countries would be really thrilled with that move. Hell, it's the Vatican who started the crusades in the first place.

I don't think the Vatican could handle it, but another country would be great. Let them shoulder the burden for a while.
