I'm getting a replacement for myself and a new one for my son. Is there any way to have it rushed?

At this time of the year and depending where it goes for issue, it is taking between 6-8 weeks, although they told me that when I applied, I got mine back from Miami Division is about two weeks. It is costing about $100 each, and that may or may not cover the cost of the passport photo you have to have. These have to be in accordance with the US Passport Guide, so it's not like you can take your own photo.

I'm not sure of the cost now. It take 3 - 4 weeks and you can pay more to expedite it. Your local post office will be able to help or look online.

A few weeks, and a few bucks ($25 ish), but yes there are some firms that expedite for a fee ($100 + or -)...google on your locale, "passport" and "expedite."

Good luck!
