Not banned.
But I would definitely say a retest at 70 and then every ten years thereafter would be a really good idea.

A 92 year old man totalled my parked car and 2 others a decade ago. You know what their excuse is? The gas pedal stuck. Its always the gas pedal with them.
It sound kind of cruel, but I think so. I would say 80 though. But over 70, they should be tested 2x a year. Old drivers are very similar to drunken drivers, except they don't go fast. But I see them do really stupid things on the road. Its like a fleet of Mr. Magoos.
I live in Orlando, and Orlando is like any other city, actually may have a younger than average population. I was in Naples, FL last year and its like a Mr. Magoo convention down there, what a pain.
Now I am 44, so I have about 30 years or so left and then I guess I too will be a Mr. Magoo. Thanks for bumming me out!

i think of many seniors are no longer able to utilising at that age and many could desire to have their licenses pulled faster. there are a good number of those that are no longer secure at any age. The argument is often made on the different end for youthful drivers and that the age ought to be raised. i think of the genuine answer is to according to hazard initiate retesting them progressively greater greater frequently to make advantageous they are nonetheless able drivers. There are some senior electorate of their 90s that are completely able drivers so this is not thoroughly honest to make assumptions approximately ability in accordance with age. Why banned somebody who has no issues and is a splendidly alert and able driving force only because of the fact of his or her age?

Well i wouldnt say banned but once they hit 65 I would say a driving test every couple of years is necessary, cause the older people get they seem to get slower, and slower, and aggrivating. And its like they aren't aware there are more than one car on the road its very strange, and it kills me when they stare at you like your being a crazy driver... OMG ITS SOOO ANNOYING... wait the more i think about it, im getting more upset cause they are soooo horrible, I would have to say unless they are very "able and healthy" they shouldnt be aloud to drive... 70 is a good cut off...

More frequent testing might be nice, but definately not banned. I had a guy who was in his early 40's back into my car in traffic for no reason...
You will feel differently when you are 70.

I don't think they should all be banned from driving, however, I think they should have to have regular driving tests after a certain age to make sure they are still fully capable of driving. I've seen way too many accidents caused by seniors.

You might read up on how many young punks have accidents and kill people and themselves. then compare to see who needs to stop driving.

well no need to be rude.
Seniors really shouldn't be allowed to drive at all.
I think its for their safety and ours.
The dmw should not allow it but it does so just watch out!!
do your part and donnot allow the older people in your family to drive.
