I thought about including the Crusades but I had read that it was Catholics who killed Presbytarians (so I sorta related it to todays Xians, but I was aware of the killing of Muslims...but, in all, basically, I wasn't sure if it technically could be considered against them-it does bring out how devisive Catholics and Xians are, even though they're supposed to be worshipping the same characters)

I read the poem, it sounds very sweet BUT I don't like the fact that, in order to be kind, you are forced to think you're low-in some way bad

Some Christians are moral and loving. Some athiests are moral and loving. Same goes for any group of people or any religion or ethnicity. Yes, Christians are responsible for a lot of suffering through the ages, but so are a lot of other groups. Europeans enslaved and conquered pretty much the whole world, but I would hate to be categorized as such merely because I have European ancestry. Generalizations are dangerous.

I am not Christian, but I can tell you that most Christians (that are really Christian) are very caring and want the best for their fellow human beings. Things like the Inquisition were engineered by political interest of the few in power, not Christians as a whole.
As for the threats of fire and brimstone, the ones that do it either like the power they get from scaring people, or they think they are really giving you vital information to save your soul. It may be misguided, but it is mostly harmless.

You forgot to mention the Crusades--the most horrific time in history. The ''pious and good'' Christians killed thousands and thousands in Europe and the Mid-east. Two examples (of many) are, when they captured Jerusalem, they killed all in the city, Jews, Muslims, and even Christians. Richard the Lionheart beheaded 3000 of Saladin's soldiers at Jaffa?
When Saladin finally freed Jerusalem, he let the whole population live.
It makes me furious when I think of this time in history. And, Christians think their history has been so good.

We don't threaten hell for those who don't believe, GOD threatens hell for them
As for the "body count" in the OT that is the work of God. It is His wrath poured out on those who oppose Him. The same wrath will some day be poured out on to the whole world.

First, the Old Testament existed before Christianity, since it existed before Christ.
As for the Inquisition, I was not there. Nor was I there for the witch trials.
Nor do I threaten Hell.
If you are looking to select individuals to determine your relationship with Christ, then you are forgoing your own salvation due to others' alleged sins. If this is how you want to deal with your eternal soul, that's fine. It's your choice.

We believe in a moral and loving God and we try to be just like him. No we don't threaten it, hell is a real place, we don't want anyone to go there.

Because they ARE loving and moral. They are not the one's to talk about hell. It's stated as true fact in the BIBLE that anyone who dont believe in GOD WILL go to HELL. True Christians just spread the true gospel for what it really is. THE REAL TRUTH. True Christians have NEVER threatened anyone with anything.

I like what you say, you make me feel more proud that I'm a christian. The earth is for us, God gives us power over everything. We have enough reasons to be proud: We're not afraid of accident, death, hurricane, in fact we're not afraid of anything.
Don't you want to be free like us? You welcome, we would love to have you in the family.

I believe your question would be valid even without the examples.
I wonder why, in general, do Christians (or any particular religion) think they are moral just because they follow a religion?

"When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not shouting, "I'm clean livin',"
I'm whispering, "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I don't speak of this with pride,
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not trying to be strong,
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not bragging of success,
I'm admitting I have failed
and need GOD to clean my mess.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, GOD believes I'm worth it.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches,
So I call upon HIS name.
When I say ... "I am a Christian,"
I'm not "holier than thou",
I'm just a simple sinner
who received GOD'S good grace, somehow"
