Our teacher told us to practice Maths from our school textbook, but i referred from 4 books(including the school one). We got 25 questions in our exam and had just 3 questions from the textbook. Neither they were from the other 4 books, they r not of our level. I think of slapping her with my boots. Pleeaassee suggest any other solution. (She wont recognise her own mistakes)

Well it's really good to do practice more than one book. 1st of all u need to understand that math question can be asked from anywhere & generally they not come from the book.

Well i think u should have good concept of math as bcoz u r doing ur practices with 4 differnet books.

And as you told that those questions are not ur level & even ur teacher is not recognise her own mistake...so best thing what can do is-make a complain to ur Headmaster/Principal. But remember you should have the support of ur classes frd (majority).

Frankly I think that you are placing the blame on your teacher, and not yourself. You see, I'm quite sure from what she meant was that you should practice from the textbook all of the questions, and not necessarily that literally she would ask you all 25 questions that would be directly from the textbook. My advice would be for you to practice on all of the problems, until you learn all of the necessary formulas in order that you may solve those problems.

this a serious problem and i am feeling sad for you children. you must tell her frankly the problem you are having because she somehow forgot the level of maths you are studying presently while framing the question paper for the exam. dont yell, have patience, keep your voice at normal level and speak up firmly, but at the same time, be respectful. when your teacher is talking to you listen to her without interrupting. when she is done then again you tell her , she will finally be able to see the problem in the correct way.
all the best

If you feel the questions were not of your level
then yes your annoyance is right
I feel that level of studies should be maintained.
Infact that is why we have a education system.
Learning process should proceed step wise.
You people should go and talk about this with your teacher first and know fer opinion about this.
If you are not satisfied go to the Principal

If all your class mates feel the same you all can go and report this to the principal...it has to be taken up with the authorities but go only if all of you agree and moreover you should have good proof of it...just go through the books and the question once again...

The object of math is to learn the concepts, not memorize the individual exercises.

Get a tutor. At least then you'll understand the concepts and be prepared for upcoming courses.

Ok from what i'm getting from your question you are stating that she gave you questions that you never even learned how to do these procesess?

if this is the case then try to talk to the teacher but if that doesn't work go to her boss....

if its on an exam then there should have been somewhere where you should have gone over the material.

Go to your principal. Talk to his secretary, see about making an appointment, and let him know ahead of time why you want to meet with him.

bring a copy of the exam and the books you were supposed to study from.

If your class mates also feel so, go to the school Principal or Vice Principal.
