God effectively controls Satan. He is after all the banished Angel Lucifer.

Satan is not an equivalent of God and does not have the same powers.

question, "Has God ever lost to Satan?" Actually I would say, "Yes". 1) That He lost Lucifer when Lucifer became conceited and chose to make war in heaven. Revelation 12:7-12, Job 1:6-12, Job 2:1-8 2) He lost in the Garden of Eden Gen. 3:1-24. When Cain slew his brother Able Gen. 4:8 But the "Choices" were Angels and Man's to make. But in Revelation it shows that God WILL overcome and save His elect. "How can we be sure that God wins in the end?" Look at the promises that God has made in the Bible....Check to see if He neglected or was unable to keep what He promised. Then turn to Revelation 22:1-21! Just remember 2Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1: 16-21, Keep holding fast to The Faith that you have 1 Kings 20:1-46. God always remembers those who are faithful to Him. Acts 7:57-60 And He will reward those in this Present Age also. But we are called to "Action". Our sins cause the Separation that allows Satan to win. It is our Trust and reliance upon God that Ensures our victory. God loses minor battles due to Man's desires and Satan's subterfuge. But the ultimate victory belongs to Him! Study On!

God has never lost to satan. Satan is the one who got kicked out of heaven, not God!

God has already told us who wins in the end. Why do you question that?

Think of it this way... God created angels. God is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (ever-present). Angels, even archangels, are not. Satan was once an angel, a cherub more specifically (the lowly security guards, as far as angel rankings are concerned).

For another comparison, one in gaming terms, God has Invincibility, unlimited ammo, He's a GM, and Satan can't see Him, but He sees Satan. Satan, however, has the weakest weapon possible, 1 bullet, (and it's been nerfed), and 1 HP. Who would win?

Hey, it is written that if we Christians resist the devil, he will flee from us. That just goes to show that our guns are better than Satan's, we have more HP than Satan, and the GM is in our side. Pft, if *we* can make Satan turn tail and flee, how much more do you think that God can utterly turn Satan into a smear in Hell?

Here's the Deal

God made satan, satan screwed up as angel. God said "get outta here" Satan came here (to earth) where a constant battle over our lives is held. Sometimes satan is leading, sometimes God is leading. It depends on us who is the victor.

But in the end, no matter how many follow God or Satan, Satan is the one that will get kicked out... Again, and God and His followers will enjoy earth and heaven without the worries of evil.

God must be more powerful than Satan because Satan is a fallen angle. As an angle Satan was created by God and kicked out of heaven by God. If God can kick Satan's *** once He can do it again.

1) God is Love and Love is Real. God is the Pattern (word orgin: Pathos: Father) that underlies all growth and development in the Kosmos.

2) Satan is the Grid over the current human system and the Grid conditions us to be other than what we are.

3) If you are unhooked from human conditioning then and ONLY then are you unhooked from the Grid. Every human being that is de-conditioned and unhooked from the Grid is automatically hooked into the Pattern, and are therefore made Real and Eternal just as Jesus was Real and Eternal - in the image of His Father (Pathos-Pattern) in Heaven because he wasn't hooked into the Grid but was instead hooked directly to the Pattern.

4) The Grid is thrown into the Pit for all eternity when a collective humanity chooses to be unhooked from it and are hooked into only the Pattern (the tree of Life in the Graden). When we unhook from conditioning - or the 'serpent' that conditions us, then the tree of 'knowledge of good and evil' in the Garden ceases to be because we stop eating from it. The 'serpent' (the Grid) dies from our lack of attention and agreement to its lies.

5) Human conditioning isn't Real and it will therefore perish as soon as we collectively become aware of what it is! The Grid that conditions is going down. This awareness has reached the collective. We have to ask ourselves and look for the honest answer: are we marked by 'the beast' (the Grid of human conditioning) or are we fully, consciously unhooked and de-conditioned from the Grid and therefore able to understand it in the same way Christ does? And define it clearly for our brothers and sisters?

6) The Pattern has no need to play the game of 'win and lose' because the unreal has no power over the Real. Only the unreal dies. Only the unreal wins or loses.

Grace and Wisdom to you

You know what would be funny? If Satan was really the 'good guy' and God was the 'bad guy' and trying to trick everyone; wouldn't those Xians feel silly? After all, the only thing other than 'faith' (btw, I believe the suicide bombers had plenty that everyone, including Xians had it wrong...didn't the founding fathers kill all the time for their religion?) is the Bible, & that contains errors & contradictions...
In answer to your question, God needs Satan to exist so, I guess there never will be a battle

God is the beginning and the end! The First and the Last! The Alpha and Omega! God is Light and Light always swallows up the darkness. He is The Creator. Satan has nothing on that.

1. Issue of power was never challenged.
Satan challenged the "Right to Rule" Sovereignty issues.

Even in assembly with God Job was highly respectful, Job 1:6-11

2. Rev. 12:9 = Satan kicked out of heaven. Following verses speak of increased woes to the earth. News confirms this event unseen to human eyes took place. That indicates God's supremacy.
