Ok so I work with this guy, and he lives in another state, but we have been talking alot, and really getting to know each other. Its clear that we like each other, but neither of us will say anything for fear that our work will find out. (company policy, we are not allowed to date co-workers). What is your point of view on dating co-workers? Co-workers from a different state?

I think that dating a co-worker is a bad idea. I mean, it doesn't always turn out bad, but in most cases, or in my experience, it has turned out bad. It's not a problem so much that he is out of state, that could work out, but sometimes it's just a matter of convenience when you start to date someone in the work place. I mean, you see them everyday, you do the same kind of work, so there is always something to talk about. It's probably not worth one, or both, of you losing your jobs over. Just keep it on a friendship level for now, and if either one of you change positions or something, maybe then you can work something out. Good luck.

Long distance relationships NEVER work. I had one for a while, and it was so hard. The guy was a great guy, and if we had lived close by, then we would have had a great and lasting relationship.

It just boils down to the fact that when you really need a hug, they won't be there unless it happens to be when you're visiting eachother. You may crave a kiss- and you have to wait.

As far as the dating a co-worker in concerned- I don't see anything wrong with it. I met my boyfriend (love of my life) through work, and we were actually both managers. Now, I am in HR and see it all of the time.

Dating co-workers even from another state is never a good policy. If things do not work out your job may not either. Don't do it.

If he's from a different state it shouldn't matter. I never had a long distant relationship. I would never want one but that's up to you. Dating someone you work with closely is dangerous. I always live by the theory that never mix money with honey. Good Luck.

Its a huge risk ..you could loose your job and he;s in a nother state? how is that going to work.. maybe you just feel that you"cant" to that at work. thats why you wanna do it.. we all wanna sneak around.. and its fun.. FOR a MOMENT.. then it all fade away. if you want a fling yes if not dont. i dont think he wanta relationship

I think it is a real no no because if things go bad, he may become vindictive and trash your reputation or cause you to lose your job!

unless one of you is planning on moving or if you are just wanting an occasional booty call keep it as just talking nothing more.
