Why is it that the men dress in white dress robes while the women dress in black?? Everytime I see them, the man is always in white and the woman is always in black...why is that??
I know some women do dress more colourful, but it's usually black for women and white for men??

Thanks again!!

Women are not pure. Women are dirty, beast-like abominations in the highest sense. They do not deserve the gleam of a white robe. Instead they are shamed in their black for ever and ever, until Muhammed returns with a fist full of American justice, and they'll see who they're really messing with. Hope this helps!

Muslims are to dress in modest clothing, without attracting attention to oneself. For this reason, many Muslims choose earth-tone colors such as green, blue, gray, as well as the usual black and white. Beyond this, there are no specific meanings behind the choice of color. Some colors are more common in certain parts of the world, based on local tradition.

In Islam, the colour white signifies purity and clean.
However it's a mere coincidence zat whenever u c men,zey r always in white.
As concerned for the women, most of the followers of Islam do wear black e.g the Jilbaab,as it's not transparent and does not attract the gaze of others.

But it's nowhere mention in the Quran zat Muslims should always wear in white or black,it's up to the individual, given he/she is correctly dressed in a decent and Islamic manner

It's a cultural thingy...it's popular amongst the women to wear black mostly in Gulf countries ... It's nothing sanctioned in Islam.. If you look at the women of Algeria they cover in white and men darker colors.. so, like I said cultural taste and preference depending where you live plays a role in what you wear.

The women usually dress in black to mourn the death of a loved one or a husband. This is a way of showing respect to the dead and to let others know that they are in mourning. I think their mourning period is 1-3 years or until remarried. Of course muslim men don't follow the same rule.

Hey babe

this dressing code is not actually what's required of a religion
but to dress simply as to protect oneself from the many hazards especially from preying wolfs

most of them muslims are ardent followers of arabic traditions
they'll follow what these arabs do cause they're blind followers

anyway, it does'nt makes anyone a true blue muslim, christian or anything if one practises its culture

truly, it should be another color than black for women if one really really knows

would one not be a muslim if he's colored blind?

In Islam, there are no restrictions on the colour of clothing, regardless of gender.

Go ahead. Wear pink. Blue. Orange. Just as long you dress moderately, not showing your figure, according to Islam.

It is not due to any religious edict. Just the local preferences. In the Muslim cultures known to me, there is no such preference for colours. Perhaps you saw the Iranians only !
