My friend, it is definately that Lord alone that can cause true relief from troubles. Have you ever read Psalm 16:11? It says in the presence of the Lord there is fulness of joy. The word fulness comes from a Hebrew word which mean complete satisfaction. Any feeling of relief outside of God's presence is false and will not last. God bless!

No, the prescence of the lord is always with me, I feel relieved of my troubles when I set them down.

God doesn't necessarily relieve all my troubles...but He does give me the strength to face them.
Yes, knowing that He is with me gives me inner warmth, and helps me to have the courage to face whatever life tosses at me.

when I am in trouble I go directly to church (I am catholic) look at my lord crucified then look at my beloved Mary and start pouring my heart to them, I feel comfortable. God knows I am doing my best to live according to his word , I avoid any small things which might hurt holy spirit so I know he is with me in my troubles
He either changed the circumstances to solve my problem or will give me power to deal with it. Nowadays some times I prefer to spend my time less telling about my problem and rather focus and think about all the troubles he has gone through and still going through to save human beings

Yes, it does, but you have to be careful. Sometimes you feel relieved just because you have put off a decision temporarily.

holy crap. What kind of nutcases populate this planet? how the hell can so many people feel so good about believing in fairy tales? They've thrown all rationality to the wind.

It's all these people that believe that anyone who doesn't believe what they believe is somehow a lesser human being... that's what causes me trouble!
