I am gluten and dairy free intolarant and a very bad cook. I have bought many books on this but I find the majority of the recipies simply take too long and are too complex and very few are both gluten and dairy free. Barbara Cousin's cooking without has been a god-send, but I'd like a little more variety. Any suggestions of recipies for a cooking novice?

I have no suggestions, but I will tell you that gluten free cooking is a matter of being patient - especially when baking. Even the best cooks have problems baking to gluten free recipes.

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

Pass this on to any restaurant you go to. Cornflour for thickening sauces etc. Most restaurants thicken sauces and soups with ROUX (flour and butter). Whereas cornflour is gluten free and suitable for coeliacs.
Where I work as a chef we had a lot of gluten intolerant people coming in so changed our cooking styles to suit them.
Knorr also have a special gravy out that is also gluten free.
So for all your recipes that recommend thickening in soups, use cornflour.

i was wheat dairy and gluten intolerant, and yes alot of patience is needed, i found myself not sticking to my diet because of lack of time to myself to cook, luckily supermarkets have a larger selection for people now, i came off my contraceptive inj and my symptoms have almost dissapeered, so sometimes you need to look further afield ??
