I WAS RELIVING WHAT HAD HAPPENED HERE IN OKLAHOMA ON APRIL 19, 1995 WHEN I FIRST HEARD THE NEWS. I THOUGHT MY GOD IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN.
OH I ALREADY KNEW MANY WOULD COME OUT AND ACT LIKE THEY CARED AND THAT WE WERE ONE, YET I KNEW THAT PEOPLE DO FORGET. IN LESS THAN 5 YEARS BASED ON SOME ANSWERS POSTED HERE, I CAN SEE THAT I WASN'T WRONG. THAT IT IS FADING FROM MEMORY. I ASKED MY CHILDREN AGES 17, 12 AND 9 WHAT THEY REMEMBERED. MY OLDEST SAID NOT MUCH OTHER THAN BEING AT SCHOOL. THE MIDDLE ONE DIDN'T REMEMBER. BUT MY 9 YR OLD COULD AT LEAST TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT DAY. SHE KNEW I HAD TOOK HER TO THE SCHOOL NURSE AND THAT IS WHEN WE HEARD ABOUT THE ATTACK. I WAS GLUED TO THE T.V. FOR DAYS, CRYING OVER LOST SOULS THAT PERISHED IN THE WTC, PENTAGON AND ON FLIGHT 93. I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN. MANY HAVE! I HOPE MOST OF YOU WILL REMEMBER.

To me it means to take a few minutes (or more) to reflect. Today, when I watched the news coverage of that tragic day, all of the emotions came back. I remember thinking this would be the beginning of a kinder more gentle nation. I was wrong. If you listen to the music that has been popular since then it really is quite embarrassing. What happened to the love, peace....message from the 60's and 70's while the Vietnam war was going on? WE had the perfect opportunity to put a new slant on things, if for no other reason than to honor those who lost their lives that day. Sorry to say - we missed the boat.

Today means remembering for me. Yes, it does not seem like it has been 5 years.
I was hauling corn that day. We were full swing into harvest and I heard it on the truck radio and told my husband who was in the combine when I got back to the field.
It was a shocking thing. I didn't get to see any of it till I saw the late news after we got home from harvest.
Yes, satan is alive and well and he and all his dark angels are roaming the earth to see whom they can devour.
Oh yes, I am going to give blood today at the local Christian church blood drive. I was inspired to start giving blood right after 9/11/01 and have every chance I could since then.

I saw an end to the freedom celebrated in the USA because I knew that people were terrified and would be willing to sacrifice their freedom to believe they were safe, somehow missing that freedom is the only safety we have.
I sat on the green couch by the stairs, set by bookbag down, forgot all about getting to my day's classes at college, and watched the buildings collapse.
I watched a community I am a member of (the furry community) have three websites up in under 15 minutes to track our family. I watched as blank lines became names, I watched as names turned green and felt a sigh of relief, I watched as names turned red and felt my heart cringe, I watched as names turned white and the row background turned black as it was confirmed I lost family that day who no one would know by the names we knew them, that they would always be remembered by their 'real names' even though in my family, they were known by another name.
And I watched America take a big s**t on their memory by sacrificing more and more freedom in the name of security.
The terrorists won that day. Every change we have made to this great country has soiled it. The goal of the terrorists was to make us afraid and to make us change our way of life.
How could we have made it any more of a f**king collosal success? We handed the enemy victory on a silver platter.

I was in Haiti that day when I heard the news. 5 years have gone so fast. For me I feel like it's only been 5 months. Yes, Satan is alive, but as for us believers we're not afraid of him. We're not afraid of death, let's keep focus to where we're going to live for eternity.
God bless you all! May God helps you through this sad day.

I was driving into work and heard it on the news. I almost thought it was a joke (as I listen to smartasses on the local radio station). I got to work, and watched the news online. Everyone here was in shock.
As it is the anniversary, I reflect back on what happened, how it happened... and still trying to figure out Why it happened. I guess that is what makes most people angry.
It wasn't Satan that did that... it was Fanatic Muslims. ^_^

It's just another day to me. It's sad that happened, but people need to stop dwelling on something that happened 5 long years ago, and get on with their own lives and life in general. It's time to move forward. What's in the past should stay in the past.

I was at home, getting ready for work.
Today reminds me that we can't take freedom for granted. We can't take our peace and security for granted either.
Now, we need to get out of Iraq.....and finish the job in Afganistan, and go get the rest of those sick bastards that attacked our nation.
Peace be with you.

9-11 means another day we should not forget the sacrifice of those who have, are and will continue to defend the rights and freedoms we United States citizens have the privilege and honor to enjoy thanks to them.
