We can never make anyone do anything we want them to do. to do other wise is sneaky and manipulative...
Depending on how deep the last relationship is, he may have not be ready. Don't push it, but honestly after 9 months he should be over it by now.
If you want to move things on, try challenging him. If he goes to make out with you stop him and tell only when he's ready to take it to the next level.
Raise his alpha status among other men, and show off your beauty around him as much as possible.

Give him his time. He just doesn't want the bad feelings he may still be harboring from his past relationship to affect you guy's relationship or future relationship. That way there will be no bad feelings between you guys and you're relationship will get a healthy start and start on a knew note, not on the old note left behind by a bad relationship.

nine months and you are making out all over each other sometimes and holding hands and he still doesn't want to ask you out---do the math cause i know if i just got out of a relationship and wasn't ready to ask someone out (especially after nine months) i damn sure wouldn't be making out with them of hanging all over them. It's time for him to $hit or get off the pot.

You can't push a guy in this situation same as a guy couldn't push a girl. I know you want the relationship to move faster, but what if by doing that it causes failure. It sounds like he really does love you and for the most part you are a couple. Keep doing what you are doing and eventually he'll come around.

I am kinda in the same situation and I say do what your heart tells you to do. If you think he will never do anything more then what he doing right now move on but if you really truelly think he will come around then wait. Time and your heart and mind will tell you what to do.

If you are makeing out and he still won't ask you out. He has a commitment issue. He may never be as he calls it ready.

I say if he is ready to do all those other thing he should be able to commit. If he hasn't he is not going to. If he wasn't ready to commit he wouldn't be all over you. I say you ditch that loser. Good Luck :)

Girl, he is playing you. You are a convenience for him. And you've been doing this for nine months? It's time to find some fresh meat!
