Ha! Yeah thats not uncommon ... the "ear" is being seen as an intruder into the bird's space, seen most often when the bird reaches maturity. Its sorta funny with parakeets, not so funny with larger birds who can really do some damage (ouch!). Yeah, I think its not realizing its part of yr head ... but then thats why we have the phrase "bird brain".

Budgies usually grow out of the biting at about 18 months, but some will continue to do it! It could be just general excitement! Don't let him sit on your shoulder, keep him to hand and arm only.
Just a note,Febreze is toxic, please do use it near your pets!!

I have were given 2 male budgies, toby and whitey! I. They get fed trills or probably budgie nutrients from PetsAtHomes. you may want to word your budgies preem eachother, this exhibits that they are basicly friends. Taming! My older budgie (Toby) Is tamed. in case you want to tame your budgie it is what i suggestion: you may want to placed ur hand on the cage the position your budgie can see it. practice that you're not from now on going to harm it and communicate soothingly. Dont make loud noises, bypass with out word or bang on the cage. try this about 1or 2 circumstances an afternoon. After a lengthy time period do an analogous yet with your hand contained in the cage and get close and in route of him/her and finally they receives on your finger. it truly is going to also help in case you enable them fly round because budgies want workout somtimes i enable my budgies out all day because they're in a position to bypass homestead so i'll go away them out or perhaps as they prefer to bypass homestead they can bypass every time.! also for his or her perches you need to really get somthing with isnt instantly as they receives a cramp. i wish i helped :)

THE BUDGIE IS THINKING THAT YOUR EAR IS A THREAT AND WILL ATTACK IT. I KNOW IT SOUNDS STRANGE, BUT IT IS TRUE. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO KEEP HIM OFF YOUR SHOULDER. IT ALSO CAN BECOME DISPLACEMENT WARNING AND IF IT IS A LARGE PARROT, YOU COULD BE DISFIGURED OR LOSE AN EYE.
