You are 6'2", no one will attack you if you are at a healthy weight. Do cardio, weight lifting, eat healthy, get lots of sleep, lots of water, and you will be well on your way to being thin and trim.

Aerobics, would be a good choice. Also eating smaller meals more frequently, is supposed to speed up your metabolism - but you've got to do some cardio exercise along with your diet.
Weight training is also good, but muscle is heavier than fat..so you will actually gain.

if you weigh 270 i think you can safely lose 50+ lbs. and you still won't be called skinny. lift weights, you'll lose fat and gain muscle.
