God is the placebo for genuine courage and inner peace.

Yes, there is a way to bring the divine comforter to our aid if we are willing. Surrender is the key. If you are having thoughts of death, I would talk to someone about this, the pastor at your church, perhaps. When there is a lot of fear, it is hard for the voice of God to be heard. Love and fear can't co-exist.

I have had thoughts of death all my life. It's imperative that you get some kind of relief from this.

Yes.
But He is always with me, whether I am scared and alone, or happy in a crowd.
I am usually too busy living to spend much time having thoughts of death (I am the mother of seven grown kids, and fourteen grandkids, I am also a member of a growing church, I sing in the choir, I take care of a paraplegic friend, and I am trying to get a writing career off the ground), but, yes, it comforts me to know that, when the inevitable comes, He will be with me.

You are not alone God is with you always. When I feel scared I just start praying that God take the fear out of my heart then I just keep praying for peace of mind and before I know it I'm not scared at all. I'm consumed with my communication with God.

The whole idea that so many people believe in these old fairy tales, and then believe that they are somehow better people because they believe 'with faith' in these old myths.... scares the hell out of me!

What kind of world am I living in that such a huge percent of humanity believes that the world is 6,000 years old? Or that when they die they are going to heaven... if they're good enough. This is sillier than believing in Santa Claus.

And the wars that are being fought and about to get much more horrific are almost completely due to these ridiculous beliefs.

So... for me... the fact that people believe in god (or, more accurately organized religions) Scares me. It scares me a lot.

God has so many words to comfort us when we are living in fear. His love letter, the Holy Bible was written for us for this very reason. He has shared His master plan for all our lives, for all the world in this book and through His word he comforts us when we are weary, afraid and feeling alone.

I cling to His word when I am feeling overwhelmed. His word is part of our Armor that we use against the enemy that seeks to devour us and cause us to stumble and fall.

Ever heard the poem foot prints in the sand? it's my favorite!
To my experience he's never left my side I'm the one that's given my back to him, he's been my foundation.
and yes even when I've ignored him for what ever reason he's there when i'm afriad and feeling alone, he's the only one I've been able to count on 100% for what he has for us is unconditional... the same way you've come on here to ask strangers for advice you can call on him and you'll know he's answer one way or the other.
Death to me is apart of life when it comes God will guide you through it trust in him!

Yea but it's a human thing that we need something outside of ourselves to rely on and trust in!
The Universe is too big for us to go it alone and that is where God comes in. (Imagined or otherwise.)

I don't live in fear, and I don't fear death. Fear is an emotion that belongs to satan. I live by faithin God, and through that faith, I am filled with the peace and comfort from God, When the Lord calls me home, I know He is there waiting for me. Praise the Lord!!
