Jesus said over and over that one must give up one's posessions and live collectively. Read the "Acts of the Apostles" in the new Testement. I have never seen anyone living like that except the Isralies that live in the Kubutzs'. People justify their life styles to fit with their view of Christianity, but does that make them real Christians? Doesn't Christian mean: follower of Christ? Do you know any real Christians.

jesus says its good to be charitable, he didn't say christian shd all be poor. to evangelize world wide everyone know u need money to do that. many christian r rich to help to fund evangelism.

the early church in acts are a group of people who don't have much coz of persecution, they love each other very much & willing to share & combine whatever they to live through those times. in fact JC commanded them instead more on loving each other, love their neighbour & by this love, christian would be known as his true followers. (john 13:34).

non-christian wld be more open if christian truly show kindness & care, help them with physical help, show respect & consideration. all people are attracted to genuine love & warm coz God make us that way.

Alot of people just jump into the Christian thing and get to head strong. Yes, I do know some real Christians. In Kansas City. But everyone falls short of God's Glory one time in their lives. No one is perfect. And you forget that we live in America. The home of the free and the brave. In America, money is the root of all evil. Are you a true Christian my brother? Are you perfect? Are you without flaws? Have you never made a mistake in your life? Just wondering. Some of us should practice what we preach.

Jesus is coming for a remnant, not the whole group... I am guessing about 10-12 % of professing christians will make it..... which means the non-believers are really in trouble.

The Bible has unfortunately been used more for evil and persecution, than for good and justice.

I can't help judging, but it seems the people who are least like Christians are those who consider themselves Christians.

I can't imagine Jesus being on earth saying, It sickens me that two men love each other," or "Let's bomb Iraq, we'll be better for it in the long run."

Get your quotes right. Jesus never said we were to live by the Bible. Much of the New Testament wasn't even writen when he was crucified. And the only person he told to sell all that he had and give it to the poor was the rich young ruler who was putting wealth before everything else... Including GOD.

Get the weeds out of your own garden before you go pointing out the weeds in other peoples gardens.

Jesus NEVER said that we are to live by the Bible! The Bible did not exist when Jesus was alive! The Bible was put together from many smaller writings by the Roman emperor Constantine. He got together with some religious leader and they picked and choosed which stories to include...and which to exclude (which some of were the dead sea scrolls). I do not understand why people live by the bible when it is not 'the gospel"!!!

I have never come across a scripture where Jesus is telling us to give up one's possessions. Please give me the scripture references.

I think your view of Christianity is wrong. And yes, I know lots of real Christians who follow Christ.

Good one!
but the main thing is how you live. personally, i think he meant that we dont get to attached to our worldly possession. and of the acts of the apostles, we are living at a different time when that set up wouldnt be realistic....I hope i've sort of helped you out.
i think we need to have resources to be able to evangelise...what d'you think.
