Unfortunatley, nothing is going to get rid of your cold. Medicine & natural remedies can only make them weaker. Try chicken soup. I have also used a tea that's real good for that as well. It's called Gypsy Tea for the cold. You can find that tea at health food stores. I drink 1 cup of tea in the morning & 1 at night. Also, try to keep warm. Sorry to hear you have a cold this time of year. Good Luck! :)

Get some of those Cold Ease Zinc lozenges. They work well. A cold is going to have to run it's course, but the zinc helps speed it up. Without it, they usually last about a week or a little more. With zinc they last about 4 days. I read that taking cold meds helps relieve symptoms, but prolongs the cold. If you can stand the symptoms leave the meds alone. With the lozenges you have to let them melt in your mouth. If you chew them up and swallow them they won't do you any good. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Take vitamin C & zinc and drinks lots of water and juice. Chicken soup helps too. I have tried putting perioxide drops in my ears once at a start of a cold and I was fine the next day. There's more info on this on the Mercola website. He's an alternative doctor who often writes articles on getting rid of colds, among other things.
To avoid colds in the future try to stay away from others coughing or sneezing and wash your hands often. We catch colds because we touch something that someone who was sick touched, then we touch our nose or mouth causing the germs to get into our system.

You cannot get rid of a cold once you have the virus. You can reduce the symptoms with over-the-counter cold medications. Plenty of water will break down the excess mucus and you'll need more rest the duration of the virus since your system will become fatigued fighting the virus. Other than that, not much, the virus lasts about ten days.

I can't promise this will actually get rid of the cold, but you will be less miserable.
Drink hot bouillon and hot lemon and honey.
Take extra vitamin C and garlic tablets.
Use Zinc lozenges.
Sleep as much as you can so your body will concentrate on taking out the disease instead of everything else.
If you can, eat spicy foods: There is something about hot spices that cold germs don't like.
Good luck!

Hot lemon in the morning to fight off the night-time accumulations, and then I also really like zycam and airborne.
I did this my last cold, and I only had three days of bad symptoms, and only once before in my life have I ever fought off a cold without getting a secondary infection.
Also, airborne is the best cough suppresant I've ever taken.

What is your age? Because treatment varies according to the age group.I think if you are below 40.Then you must start physical exercise suitable ti your body.Consult good gym coach.Secondly you take food according to your body weight and shape.Avoid medicines as far as possible.Take proper rest. Try for 10 days then also you dont find any change, then you should consult a good doctor.

Ok ready? I dont know how old you are but this really helps.
Take a big mug. Put 4 tablespoons of honey in it,. Put 1/4 cup of burbon. take 2 lemons and squeeze the juice in. Fill the rest of the mug up with tea. Sip it until it cools down. When it does gulp the rest down. Go to bed, wrap up in a warm blanket and sweat it out. It really works!

it doesnt sound strong enough but give it a go cos it really worked for me
take panadol or something like this so you keep your temp down
but then have about 4-6 cups of manuka honey (known for healing properties) and fresh squeezed lemons in hot water per day.
also get some herbal teas to have in between this (you need lots of fluids)
and drink about 2 litres of water per day
hope you feel better soon
