I suggest treating it internally with all-natural Optiflora. This will treat the cause and not just the symptoms.

This two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Other products claim live microflora at the time of manufacture. Optiflora guarantees the delivery of live microflora to your intestines.

This two-product system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). Patented guaranteed delivery of 500 million microflora to intestines.

Also, Garlic complex which will neutralize most fungi.

Hope this is useful and for more info or the website, feel free to contact me.

If the fungus is Candida (yeast), it can be passed by bodily contact from person to person, but can also occur without contact - as we carry the fungus in our intestine.

Check out www.hufa.org - the yeast link. I had the torso and groin rash, and kept it under control with antifungal powder. Now I am trying to get rid of it internally with acidphilous, a no sugar diet, and other supplements.

Hopefully by the end of the year, it will be in control (cause it never goes away).

Fungus-is an opportunistic spore that will overtake its host when all the conditions are optimal.Such as warm , moist areas. To get rid of it especially that severe will take a doctors care , both topical and oral medication, Then remove the conditions that caused it in the first place,in addition eating probodic foods(yogurt, buttermilk)can help your body fight it,
P.S. It is contagious.

An antifungal cream, ointment or spray of any kind will help, but I would say that yes it is contagious and you need to see a doctor to give you a heavy duty dose of meds to get rid of it quick.

Fungal infections are very contageous.
You need to be treating it with an antifungal cream like lamasil or tinactin or something from your doctor. It takes time to cure them and you have to treat every day and very carefully as you can spread them very easily.
