That Mormonism would be considered a dangerous religious cult, if it weren't for the fact that they are so darn patriotic to America?

They already are dangerous. Visiting Utah is like visiting another country. The state is controlled by the church.
The only thing that distinguishes a cult is the small number of adherents. No matter how silly the belief system, if it's large enough, it's socially acceptable.

It is not dangerous.
Islam would be in the same accepted boat if it were not for the Radicals that are hijacking it.
I also don't know why Muslims will find this answer offensive, most of them agree that Radical Islam is not really Islam.

Mormonism is a dangerous reliegious cult....so is Scientology. They aren't outlawed because we live in a country where you are free to join a cult if you wish.

Mormonism is the nickname..."The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" is the official title of the Church. It is not a cult, but rather the largest American- based Church... But It is a worldwide Church and has members in many, many countries.
As far as patriotism (since it is a WORLD-wide Church)(= many non-American members)(= many government types) ...our Article of Faith 12 states: "We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law."

I was in that church and it is really just a bad dream. They have always refused to talk of the Universal Theology of the New Jerusalem or monotheism with me. They only know what their leadership writes down for them to say. They have no idea that Christianity is monotheism and the Father doesn't have His own body and is the infinite soul of the Lord.
