The 'Highway of Death' was not civilians, but was the Iraqi forces retreating from the front. I think it was the revolutionary guards division (s?), which was mechanized. Without airpower to protect them, they were annihilated by US airpower.
As for how many the US killed in the current war - that will probably never be known. But it is far, far fewer than have been killed by terrorist insurgents and foreign terrorist jihadists who continue to blow up Iraqis in their mosques and markets.

The reason you can't find the numbers you're looking for is b/c Iraq didn't count, and we - the US - didn't care to report them. In America anything you say, or do, can and will be used against you, especially in a public forum. The US - the military machinists in specific - learned that lesson during Viet Nam.
While I am disturbed by the taking of any life, I'd like to believe war is no longer merely about body-count.
FYI; ALL the ppl killed on the hi-way of death were not civilians. AND they were told not to take the vehicles. They were all told, military as well as civilians, they could walk out but not to take the vehicles.. or their weapons. It was a condition of the war - at the time. Unfortunately, this same thing happens in many other places. As an example; to this day, sadly, in some places in Africa if you're out after dark, regardless the reason, you run the risk of being shot on sight. Right or wrong, you've been told by the ppl in charge, who have the power and the will to make and enforce such a statement. Do you still go out after dark? Personally, even if I disagree with the(ir) policy, I seriously doubt I'm going to! I'll wait and just do whatever it is I'm going to do during the daylight.

Hundreds of thousands my friend, but that’s ok that’s not terrorism? Because the US is doing the killing and Muslims are dying!! It would only be terrorism if it were the other way around, one-way double standard dum Americans that just won’t learn their lesson. Thick-minded donkeys don’t learn unless you give them a good whooping every time they mess up. You dig?!!
