Is it true that crows always pick at the eyes of a dead body? And why do they do this?

It's usually true, yes. Eyes are easy to get at and (sorry about this) small enough for a crow to eat pretty easily. But they're real survivors so they'll eat just about anything that won't fight back. But they perform a very useful function in the wild, because like other carrion-eaters, they help to clean away all the dead animals.

Legend has it that a crows favorite food is the body of a dead man, or of other dead animals, and that a crow will go first for the eyes of such a fallen creature. Other tales say that crows will hunt with wolves and share the kill with them.

Lol, that said, yes its true- of crows, vultures, sunks, racoons, any scavanging animal- they will go for the eyes because they are soft and are a natural opening in the body. Barf-o-licious. Once another animal, accident or decomosition opens the body cavity, they will eat from there (if a body has a ripped-open abdomen, I think that a crow would most likely go for the exposed organs before the eyes.. there is even more protien fat and sugars in organs than in eyes.)
Yeah, I'm gonna go puke now.

Did you know that crows sometimes peck the eyes and tongues out of lambs as they're being born, if the birth takes a long time. My brother-in-law told me that, and he's a farmer.

Muhammad is not any more desirable than Jesus in any appreciate. in accordance to the Quran all Prophets are equivalent. the reason Muslims talk about Muhammad more desirable is because he's the perfect Prophet. Do Christians talk about Moses, Isaac, and Abraham more desirable Church then Jesus? No, they don't. As for Jesus being the son of God(Muslims call God Allah it is the Arabic be conscious for God) Muslims do not trust that. they trust that Jesus replaced into created an analogous way Adam replaced into created. Mary gave miraculously by the want of God. also they don't trust he lifeless both. they trust that Jesus replaced into raised to heaven with the help of God. i wish I helped :D

As already said, it's the softer parts they go for first as it's a way in through the tougher skin. Some research also suggests it's the shine they go for, like their cousins the magpie.

Yes as they are attracted to the soft parts first like eyes, plus they are full of nutrition. Its the same with maggots, its the eyes and brain that attracts them first.
