Try skipping the brown rice for about 2 weeks.

Eat mostly protein. Meat, few fruits and vegaetables.

Do this for only 2 weeks though.
Do not drink anything with sugar, or less than 20grams of carbs.
It is probably best to just drink water.

After the 2 weeks, eat mostly protein and only complex carbs, fruits and vegetables, no junk food.

Once you have lost the weight you can pig out about once a week.

Well, that depends how much brown rice, chicken and fruit you eat, and how much you exercise. A week's not long, and if your concept of "eating normally" is responsible for your carrying excess weight in the first place then, yes, of course it'll come back.

Forget this whole "one week" business. Change your diet permanently. Not to a dogmatic "Fruit, rice 'n' chicken"; you can keep the variety, just eat sensibly, balanced, and avoid the rubbish. And exercise regularly and often.

That really, really is the only way to get it off and keep it off.

Hi there.
I think you will lose weight, but you have to exercise,so maybe you will lose about 2/3 kilo grams - 9/10 pounds. Detoxing is for making you feel better and to clean your body..but you have to have willpower, and no you won't put it all back on unless you eat unhealthily...so here are some healthy eating tips after the detox:
*Get active (exercise - go running, walking, cycling etc)
*Eat what you want but less of it (except chocolate, crisps etc ONCE A WEEK)....drink PLENTY OF WATER and take VITAMINS.
This way you will never put on weight, unless you get a bit greedy with the food...good luck with the detox! xxx

It depends on serving size; if you snarf a whole chicken, a pound of rice and several pieces of fruit at each meal, you will gain!
2-3 ounces (50-75 grammes) of protien is enough for a sedentary person.
Brown rice: 1 cup (cooked rice) is a serving.

Fruit: 5 pieces a day (a "piece" is about as big as your clenched fist.)
The body responds to radical change, so if you detox and then return to "normal" eating without cutting portions or increasing exercise, yes, you will gain it all back.

That's NOT "de-tox" --- It's called a DIET.
The whole "de-tox" thing is a myth, there's no such thing.
The diet is okay, but you'll never be able to measure any difference in "toxins" before and afterward. And the amount of weight you lose will depend on how much you eat! (You can still overeat, even if it's just those things named!)

It's down to calories.

If you need 2000 calories per day, and eat only a thousand, you'll be 'credited' with 1,000 calories.

3 - 3,500 calories equate to about 1 pound. So you'll lose a pound every two-three days. The first weight you'll lose will be in fluid, and you could put that back on fairly quickly.

Crash dieting never works.

Most weight you lose in the first week is water weght. Of course it will return if you return to eating improperly. You could lose 3-8 pounds the first week.
