it should be on his birth or death cert. the funeral home should have it on files.ask someone in ur family who has the cert. copy of his death cert. copies of death cert is about 10 dollars. most people won't give you his ss#. goodluck

You may be able to plug his name into the Social Security Death Index (see link below). I think people only appear on the index when they had received Soacial Security, but it's worth a try.

contact the Social Security Administration, you will need his full name, probably hs birth certificate, his place and date of birth, his place and date of death, his death certificate ... they can research their files and locate it for you, there may be a fee. another resource is the IRS, for them you will need his last place of employment and location as well.
