So in the Christian philosophy, he will avoid all punishment and condemnation all together? NO atonement for sins? Just a "sorry' suffices?
How do Christians feel good with that?

unfortunately, I forgot to be as specific as possible.
He never gets caught or punished here on earth and then dies and is sorry for his sins, does he get a get out of jail free card do not pass go, right into heaven?
What about all the lives he destroyed and the sorrow he inflicted?
What if his victims were atheists? Does that mean that he will go to heaven without punishment in life and afterlife, while his victims get sent to hell?
how does that sound to you, does that sound like something an all wise all powerful creator would set up house?
How could a christian be comfortable with this religious reasoning?

I can see from the "bad question" rating you got before any comments were made, you hit a nerve with one xtian(for now)

LOL! A good and valid point.

Much to the undoubted chagrin of any christian who has read and understood their scripture, they would HAVE to say yes, else contradict the "word of God".

LMAO @ my "bad answer" rating!!!! Seems I have hit a nerve too! :D

In defense of Christianity (which I am no longer a part of), I can answer. The church requires that you confess to brethren. The brethren would encourage full repentance -- which would mean paying society's price for your sins. However, I see the confusion but there does appear to be some hypocrisy there. I would have to agree that the conventional Christian teachings do imply that one would be forgiven by "God's grace, alone," as long as one repents to God. Christians say that God requires obedience, but disobedients are still given the ultimate gift of Salvation, so it's a contradiction.

You are misled. First of all would a person truely Saved by the blood of Jesus Christ commit a murder? If he committed the murder before Salvation, would he not then at salvation not feel the need to do what is right? If he didn't which I don't believe would happen (the Holy Spirit convicts you of the wrongs in your life when you really accept Christ...) he would answer to God. We will all stand before God and answer for our lives here on earth. There are rewards and of course, for many of us, eternal consequences in Hell if we didn't accept Christ.

The theory that some like to spread that if you just repent and say your sorry you don't have to pay for your sins is ludicrous. The Lord is a just God. There is justice in Heaven and especially on earth.

Those that picket outside of prisons trying to prevent someone from going to the chair because they profess salvation is ridiculous. The Bible is quite clear that forgiveness is one thing, but there are always consequences. Just because you are sorry and repent doesn't mean you won't have to pay the piper. It's a lame scapegoat people with no understanding like to take. I'm sure Adam and Eve were sorry for eating of the Tree of Life...they were still cast out of Eden and cursed. I'm sure Cain was sorry for killing Abel, but he was still cast out and cursed. I'm sure that Abraham was sorry for not waiting on the Lord and fornication with Hagar, his sons still fight to this day. I'm sure that Lot was sorry for the decisions he made to live in Sodom and not be the leader of his house, his family still ended up in ruin, he still sired two incestuous children. I'm sure that Samson was sorry for betraying God and living the life he did and giving up his strength to Delilah, but he still died a blind, broken man. Saying your sorry doesn't mean you don't answer for your deeds.

that's a very good question. very multilayered. on the one hand, we can't blame God for lazy cops, now can we?
But on the other hand, I suppose if someone TRULY found a deep meaningful relationship with God and has peace in his soul, he wouldn't live a lie and run from the law. Jesus teaches us to obey the laws of the land so the wicked murderer would be forgiven for his act, but in turn owould be commiting another sinful act that would throw him into a perpetual state of lying and running and sin and would be judged by God in the end. All liars go to hell because Satan is the father of all lies. So you see, the 2 cannot co-exist and he would still go to hell because if he truly repented he'd turn himsef in. He'd read the Bible and realize that he'd have to turn himself in. (Read act 2, focus on verse 38. it's really interesting!)

Them's the rules.... Murder is a mortal sin so unless he repents and asks for forgiveness he will not gain entry to heaven... But God is a forgiving God and will grant forgiveness to those who ask....

If an atheist commited a wicked murder and was never caught or punished, he would also escape punishment wouldn't he....

God indicates in many different places that He is watching what goes on. He knows everything that we've done or thought. He even says that we shouldn't expect fairness here on earth, that things will be justified afterward.

We're not given exact details about punishment, but forgiveness doesn't necessarily mean that some form of punishment won't be handed down.

There may be circumstances where that happens, where it becomes allowed because he/she has some purpose that means he/she needs to be out in the world.
Still, there will be no avoiding punishment. All you do comes back on you ten-fold. The evil you put out comes back on you ten times over, as does the good, as does the indifference. People often forget the last one, incidentally. Your murderer, real or hypothetical, will be punished. If he/she is truly repentant, he/she will turn his/her self in as soon as possible to receive punishment in that way or suffer worse because of it.

murderers and killers get destroyed when they die they can repent all they want it wont save them when they die since they are judged by the orders of gods people the elder angels. you christians make me sick thinking that way all the time get a life no one gets into heaven by repenting and no one ever gets punishment such as hell for not believing in god or any gods for that matter. you are judged based on your works not on how many times you beg for forgiveness you dont get any forgiveness for hatred or commiting crimes against man or nature.

i'm no longer non secular, yet I do have heavy sociological / anthropological history. in case you sense the ought to "concern" your God, then it rather is considering which you sense answerable for some thing, or you prefer to sense victimized. maximum people do no longer concern their God. They love their God. God is extremely like the basically precise chief. As Machiavelli stated, a stable chief ought to be the two enjoyed and feared. If he's basically enjoyed, then people will nevertheless do what they want against his needs at circumstances. If he's basically feared, then they won't love their very own lives, purely doing what he needs out of concern of ramifications. in the event that they love and concern him, then they're going to do what he needs out of affection and appreciate first, and out of concern 2nd. enable me attempt to apply a distinctive analogy for God... God, in maximum peoples' eyes, is nearly a stable parent. a stable parent makes use of two areas love and a million section self-discipline to be certain people lead a stable life. a million section love is unconditional. God loves you unconditionally, considering which you're his creation. (basically as a parent loves their newborn unconditionally). a million section love is for valuable reinforcement. God shows you prefer to reward your stable habit. that's what maximum people call "reward", "miracles", and so on. mum and dad do an identical with them babies; provide them hugs while they prevail. a million section self-discipline is used for detrimental reinforcement. God punishes people while they have been undesirable. mum and dad do an identical to babies. Now, maximum folk will persist with a Godly life with the aid of fact they appreciate and love God with the aid of a million section unconditional love, and a million section valuable reinforcement. If that doesn't paintings then they concern the a million section self-discipline. in spite of the fact that, what's "blessing" and "punishment" from God is subjective. distinctive religions, or maybe persons, might even see some thing as a blessing at an identical time as others see it as a curse. rather everyone can see in spite of they want into some thing. while a mom hugs a newborn, it rather is fantastically tangible that it rather is a hug. yet, while a individual properly-knownshows $5 on the line is that a blessing? What if it basically helps them to do some thing undesirable? i think of the extra appropriate thank you to examine God is that he supplies people possibilities. The $5 is an danger. How the guy chooses to apply that danger dictates no remember if it rather is a "blessing" or "curse".
