If this lump produced pus there is obviously some sort of infection present whatever caused it. The small holes could be a spider bite and if it is, it probably won't get well on its own and you need medical attention.
Bites like the brown recluse spider often do not hurt when they happen, but the toxins injected with the bite cause damage to the tissues and as these die, you can be left with a huge wound and a bad infection. Don't squeeze it any more! You need antibiotics and may also be given steroids, The small bump can turn into a hole several inches across and quite deep if not treated properly and my even need skin grafting.
Even if this is just an ordinary boil, it's very near your knee joint and you may need treatment to prevent spread to that area. YOu really need to have this seen as soon as possible.
I've had a brown recluse bite and it started out as a tiny bump I noticed just before leaving for work, which was the size of a quarter in just a couple of hours and had pus in less than another hour when I saw a doctor. Even starting treatment that soon I ha a nasty sore and have a nickel-sized scar. A coworker of mine had a bite on his calf he decided to treat himself that got to be the size of his hand and required several days in the hospital and eventually a skin graft, He lost some of the muscle tissue as well.
Please get seen as soon today as you can.

Yes, see a doctor. I live in an area that has all sorts of strange spiders and have been bitten before. I had a large area on my leg that was quite hard and finally began itching like crazy. My husband was bitten and got blood poisoning. Spider bites are nothing to play with. Better safe than sorry.

like above, i've had numerous brown recluse spider bites and my family has as well. they are very common here in east texas. you do no feel them when they bite you and they are dangerous. not only does the toxin eat tissue, if it makes it's way into the blood stream it can be fatal. absolutely DO NOT try to get the pus out, as this sends some of it deeper into the tissue. get to the doctor to have it dug out and/or get antibiotics. don't wait! (although it takes a good while for a serious amount of tissue to be lost or for it to reach your blood stream, you don't want to waste time and get a secondary infection.)

I would recommend having a doctor look at it, especially if it's refilling with liquid (which may indicate an infection). Spider bites can be NASTY and have some really bad effects, and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Sounds like it. Treat with first aid cream and STOP picking it!
If you're in an area with poisonous spiders go see your doctor, especially if there are black widows or brown reclouse in your neck of the woods.

It's possible. I woke up the other day and had 4 bites on my leg. You could see the trail the spider had left by his bite marks. They got very red and eventually became itchy.

You very well might and unfortunately most people have to go to the doctor for antiobotics, or even the emergency room. So go.
