What is the best way to keep garlic bulbs fresh to avoid growing sprouts and mould?

keep in a cool dark spot,in a mesh bag.Plus it also depends on what type of garlic you have,some are better keepers than others.I;m a master gardener in WI,and have grown lots of it myself

I clean all of it, chop it up and freeze. Problem solved... I have no more sprouting and no waste. The freezer does NOT alter the taste and I have it at my fingertips all winter for anything I cook!

Keep them in a ziplock bag in the fridge. That will prolong their shelf life and minimize sprouting but if you don't use them they will eventually mold.

i also vote for the ziplock bag in the refrig
but use it frequently for your good health, it is an antibiotic and lowers cholesterol---if you use it fast enough, it won't go bad

Keep them in the refrigerator and they will last much longer.
