If god gave his followers special abilities when they converted to the "right religion", what would it be? 1 Cor. 13:1-13 explains it best. Now the world has that perfect thing available to them THE Bible! Unfortunately, they don't believe in a risen loving and caring savior, so they go around in the Dark and loving the Dark. Lest their eyes be opened AND then they would have to decide whether to remain in Darkness or work to staying in the Light. Matt. 5:13-16. Ecc. 12: 1-14, 1 Jn. 1:1- 1Jn. 5: 1-21. Study On!

In point of fact many believers interpret the scriptures, particularly passages in 1 Corinthians 12-14 to mean that along with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit comes special powers and abilities the believer is equipped with to serve the Body of Christ (the Church). Some specifically believe that glossolalia, (speaking in tongues) is a mark of having the Holy Spirit that all believers should possess, even though Paul directly contradicts this teaching.
The special ability I would be most impressed with is intellectual curiosity. With most of the believers I know, a sudden endowment with intellectual curiosity would be a startling and welcome change which would prompt me to reconsider my position on the impossibility of miracles.

The religion of the heart where everything is already known. Not an 'organized' religion where one person tells another what to believe or do. Not a religion where money changes hands. Call this The Religion of the Free.

Breaking News Flash: Telling people that they are going to "Hell" is the biggest TURN OFF that any religion can ever try to pull on people. Human beings are not as stupid and easily influenced as Christians seem to think. That's why the fastest growing religion even in the USA is ISLAM. I do not ascribe to either one but to answer you question fully here goes: The best way to bring people into a religion is empathy, understanding and acceptance. NOT condemnation, judgment and threats of sending them to "Hell". Some people who are hungry, homeless, abused and so on already feel they are in Hell NOW. Your threats and judgments only serve to turn them AWAY from you.

If you hate God so much (As I see in your profile), why cant you speak about other things and stop being so sarcastic and judgemental. We dont care what you think of God, because nothing you say even makes sense!!People like you twist the words of the bible, so it suits you.Does it make you feel better to mock God?GOD BLESS YOU!

if christian really trust & hear & obey His instruction, any thing can happen. i mean JC come to this earth to set an example for us christian to follow, so miracles, healing, raising the dead, control over demons, change situation, command nature; we should all be able to do.
john 14:12 Truly I say to you, He who puts his faith in me will do the very works which I do, and he will do greater things than these, because I am going to my Father.
14:13 And whatever request you make in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may have glory in the Son.
14:14 If you make any request to me in my name, I will do it.
